Beautiful hotel, great facilities

The exterior of the hotel was grand and fairy-tale like. The rooms were modern and huge. The design and layout of the rooms are thoughtful. There are speakers in the bathroom so you are able to watch the television whilst soaking in the tub!
The hotel facilities are complete and also has a beautiful artificial beach and a wavepool. Looks ideal for families!
However, like most casino hotels, the price is expensive. It's a good option to stay 1 or 2 nights here for the experience!

Hotel has a nice wavepool and artificial beach. Be sure to allocate time to spend there!

confirm with other traveller’s comments that that check-in time is very slow and lengthy compared to check-out times. we found check-out service very efficient.
locationwise - hotel is on a hill but unfortunately no view. close to local eateries (thumbs up)
roomwise - good sized rooms with very basic amenities.

be wary of "non-smoking' rooms, the room was definately used by a smoker and for a long time, even the curtains smelt of smoke. the hotel was good to change my room straight away, which was clean of smoke. beds are hard, room is nice. shuttle bus is a good service and you can travel throughout macau via shuttle for free as all hotels have shuttles that somehow interconnect, or you take the 6-7 minute shuttle to the ferry terminal which is shuttle nirvana and you can go anywhere for free. best little bakery in macau located at the royal in the lobby.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Try the bakery in the lobby, bargain prices and excellent pasteries.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile

Everything seemed to be perfectly balanced. From the first greeting to the final goodbye, this was one flawless experience.
The staff was always available, willing to go beyond standard service, friendly and most accommodating. Every encounter with the staff was a personable, service oriented experience.
The restaurants provided quality meals, excellent drink selection and wonderful service.
Royal Hotel, I will be back one day soon.

Great location and good value for your money.
The staff at the hotel are extremely helpful. The location of the hotel is ideal for many of the casinos.

We have stayed at the Royal Hotel several times now and have always been very happy with the hotel service, cleanliness and its ideal location. Far enough away from the casinos that you don't hear all the noise, yet close enough to walk to them if you cannot get a cab quickly.

Lovely hotel with good smiling of the staff
good location, few steps to down-town. Most of the scenic spots can be reached on foot. the hotel is just located at the hill-foot of Guia hill.

the day of our arrival was rainy. the page boys were not eager to come up with umbrella as we cme up the hotel on foot after we visited some scenic spots.
the shuttle bus was not on time/behind schedule, but the driver was very helpful and keen to talk and giving good advice.

Will never stay at this hotel again

Poor house keeping! Woken up 3am by skin irritations, and discovered that the under-layer bed sheet is extreamly stained, and with strangers' hair all over!
Hotel Feature Tip:
Remove the top bed sheet to double check that it's also clean underneath.Very hard to halt a taxi from the hotel.

Room ok, small but very clean.
Many restaurants around the hotel and walking distance to Senado Square.

Overall, everything is ok. But after 3 days, we get bored with the breakfast as they have same food every morning. Shuttle bus every 30 min. Really satisfy to stay in Royal Hotel.

We like the room, its nice and clean. Very comfort bed. Service fast and all the staffs are friendly.Will stay to this hotel if we have the chance to go Macau again.
