A great hotel that is reasonably priced
indoor pool, gym, free shuttle bus

We have stayed at Royal Hotel many times before and are always please with our stay. We choose this hotel for several reasons. First, it has an indoor pool which is good if you are traveling with children. Next to the hotel there is a nice outdoor playground. I also choose this hotel because it has a fitness center so this is good for travellers that like to workout during their stay in Macau. We enjoy the Shanghainese resturant in the hotel. The food is good and reasonably priced. Lastly, the hotel has a shuttle bus that stops at other hotels which makes travelling convienent.

the bed is comfortable, but the air conditioner seems hard to adjust. Room is clean and quiet. The view is normal even my room is high floor and park view.

Nice hotel but location not convenient

great and friendly service provided.but accept location not convenient and need to take cab if you intend to go others place as if walking it'll be very far. but hotel do provide free shuttle bus to ferry terminal and some attractive places with schedule. there are bus from airport to hotel if you are planning for budget trip as bus fare quite cheap. and you can also take the bus from hotel to airport but min. 3 hrs in advance booking. overall, very enjoyable when staying with royal. even location not convenient but taking cab in macau quite affordable and i personally feel that it will be cheaper than s'pore. hahaha...

Great hotel and not too far from Senado Square
the room is big and spacious with a good view

the hotel is overall very good. checking in was pleasant. staff very helpful and friendly -- except at breakfast, there was one female staff who seemed put off if we asked her any questions... otherwise every one was most helpful with directions and anything else.
the walk to senado square or the other casinos is only about 10 to 15 min so it was lovely.
we enjoyed the stay at hotel royal very much. we have already recommended this hotel to some of our friends for their future visit to macau.
Restaurant Tip:
Grand Lisboa has a fantastic Dinner Buffet. At MOP 284 it seems expensive but well worth the money. It is truly a Grand Buffet!

noisy hotel with good service

Shuttle bus from pier to hotel wasn't paying enough attention to those people who waited. Especialty when the hotel does not has a static point to wait for their bus. We saw the bus and the driver just drove away. That made us wait for another half an hour. We were feeling hot, thirsty and tired.
Luckily the stuffs were nice.

as most of you may know, it's always hard to find taxi in macau and as a traveler, the buses route are just too complicated to understand. well, royal hotel just had a perfect location than it's only a walking distance from hotel to city centre. the room is tidy, but the only thing is lighting is a bit too dark. the services are good too. as whole, i had a good experience during my stay!
