Good location just next to busy area but still in
Clean and tidy, room is good size too.
8.7
We check-in quite late after mid-night, and staff was kind and polite. Free upgrade to top floor room. Room and bed is good size and comfortable. Toilet is clean and tidy as well. Generally very good as the hotel was refurnished not long ago.
Location is next to the city center, which is ideal for us who like quiet places. Recommend for everyone who like to stay far from place which is way too busy.
Will come back again.

good location with free shuttle service
10min walk to senado square, nice eating places

The hotel is quite popular with tour groups.
The free shuttle service runs every half hour to the major casinos and the ferry terminal.
Next to the hotel is a local market with interesting food stalls and fresh fruits.
Restaurant Tip:
Huang Guan Restaurant (next door to A Vencedora)
Famous for Scrimp Roe noodles and Crab Porridge

Nice hotel, good location, great service
Central location, reasonably priced

i enjoyed my stay at the royal hotel. it's very affordably priced for macau. it's about a 15 minute walk from central macau. it's about a 10 minute cab ride to most of the casinos. if you are looking at getting great value in macau, and not set in staying at one of the big casino hotels, i'd recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel with fantastic services
Price is decent and the services was fantastic
9.3
Hotel is situated a short distance away from the main casino belt and a short 15mins walk from the main tourist spots, atop a small hill. Everything was clean and nice. The conceirge manager, Mr Alex, was particularly helpful. We arrived late from HK and checked in at 11pm, and Alex helped us carry our luggage all the way to the room followed by giving us guidance on how to navigate around Macau's attraction with a local map provided. He also offered to help us book tickets to Macau tower at a lower price via the hotel. On the last day, we deposited our luggage at the hotel's bag deposit before rushing off for last min sight seeing. When we rushed back on a cab to fetch our luggage to the airport, Alex helped to expedite the retrival and helped us carry all the bags to the cab waiting for us. I haven't encountered such wonder services before.
Hotel Feature Tip:
There is a chinese eatery beside the hotel for great local delicacies. I recommend walking down to the city centre as you will pass by a famous local noodle stall along the way (for breakfast) and you also get to soak in the way of life in Macau. There is free shuttle to the main casino belt and Macau tower although there is only two timing. To get to the hotel, I would recommend taking a cab as it's inexpensive.

Comfortable - and near enough to main attractions
clean and comfortable rooms
7.7
the royal isn't smack in the center of town but is easily accessible by bus and is a fairly easy 10-15 minute walk to senado square. it was actually nice staying here because of the residential nature of the general area giving another glimpse to macanese life.
the rooms are well-appointed and clean and comfortable. it was a pleasure to return after a long day of touring around. the staff is helpful and know useful tips to help get you around.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
when taking the bus, rely on the route posted at the actual stop instead of the routes given on maps. the ones on the actual stop are the most accurate.

The boring hotel
The entrace is grand but thats about it
5
I wasn't impressed that it had a 5 star rating as it is definitely not a five star as it was comfortably but not luxuries. I also wasn't impresses that the said they upgraded me when it was exactly the same room that I booked. Also it had a door to the next room so I could hear what the couple next door was saying and it was very annoying.
