Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

check in counter staff was helpful and friendly. offered to upgrade room with some reasonable top-up. concierge was knowledge and helpful to give direction. staff at lobby cafe seems to have high turn0over with new staff recently joining, and not able to explain most questions asked. overall a reasonable hotel to stay in macau.

Sunny Day in Macau
Reception, rooms, value for money
8.7
Arrived in afternoon on a very hot day to be met by a cool airconditioned reception. The reception was a little overwhelmed with people checking in and it seemed everyone had long discussions with staff. Extra staff were drafted in to easy the congestion which avoided some unhappy customers queuing for long time. I was upgraded to better room which was extremely well presented and spacious. Food in restaurant for breakfast was fine as was the friendly staff serving it.

Generally, Hotel condition is very good. But it was difficult to take every 30 min shuttle bus. I have to wait long time than other hotel shuttle bus.

wow, hotel royal is a nice and excellent place to stay for relaxation. the hotel staff are very accomodating and well informed. we were upgraded from de luxe to premier room. the room is a little bit smaller but their facilities can be considered as that of the five star. the food in hotel louge are almost the same. nothing to complain as long as the staff are so nice and helpful.

Overall good. However, have room fro improvement.
1) Quite far from entertainment
2) Shuttle bus should cater to all those entainterment places
3) Should have some restaurant in the hotel or maybe a small cafe

Hotel Royal offers the free guest shuttle from the ferry terminal. Be warned that the hotel does not have a specific bus stop for its shuttle, so you need to keep your eyes open and watch where it pulls up. The hotel is a fair distance from the casinos, so if gambling is the main reason for your visit, the location might not be right for you. On the other hand, if you wish to escape the casinos while being no more than a long walk from them, this property is well worth consideration. The hotel also offers the shutter bus to Macau Tower and Venetian twice a day (11 am and 5 pm). However, you are required to make a reservation in advance when you check in.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
For one who would like to spend the time at Venetian before leaving Macau, you could drop your luggage(s) at Venetian for free. Venetian also provide free shutter bus for many routes including Macau Internation Airport which departs every 20 minutes.

Just taking a break
Everything was very clean. The location is great for just getting up, grabbing your bag and heading out to take photos for the day.

Overall, I was very pleased with my stay at the Royal. You are close to everything without having to pay the higher price. I will stay there again on my next trip to Macau.
Restaurant Tip:
For a decadent meal, I strongly recommend Il Teatro at the Wynn resort. The whole dining experience is delicious and very reasonably priced.
