Friendly staff, Clean Rooms and Baths.
They are having a renovation now.
Royal Hotel Macau is a nice place to stay. The rooms and baths are clean and comfy. They have a free shuttle bus to many place at Macau (only 3 minutes) so, you don't have to worry about the hotel location. Friendly staff and good service. Nice stay and great hotel !!!
Shopping Tip : Free Tax!!!

well furnished and clean with helpful staff, fast and efficient service
the access road is "one way" road, so in many occasions we have to take long turn around route by taxi to reach the hotel.
a surprise at our arrival was that our room was upgraded to premier. The check in service was fast and efficient. There was a free flow drink (incl. wine) and snack in the evening although the staff who served this appears to be not so nice, perhaps it's almost closing time. The concierge staffs were helpful with our baggage and questions. One thing that we missed was the view from our room, the view was blocked, looks like temporary cladding (under renovation)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : take a walk from the hotel to ruin of St Paul and Senado square, you will have a nice experience walking in the city, through small alleys, a "real feel" of macau

This hotel is nice, clean and the hotel employee's hospitality and easy communication in English
Dining room slightly small, so quiet long queue during breakfast time. And it also need to change their menu since every day is same menu.
I love this hotel due to the cleanness, and the employees are very kind. This hotel really value for the money. It also just 15 minutes walk to St. Paulo.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you want to visit St. Paulo, don't take taxi, just walk and you will find out nice buildings.

The hotel has accommodating personnels. The location is just a 10 minute walk to the Ruins and Senado Square.
The hotel's shuttle bus service is up to 9:30PM. It should be extended to or past 12:00 midnight considering the hotel hoppings at night. We ended up looking for a taxi to bring us back to the hotel.
Royal Park is quite all right.... the hotel fascade and lobby, room accommodation and hotel personnels. There is no other hotel in the vicinity where my groupmates can just walk for a change of venue and bar hopping. Should we decide to go to big hotels for shows later at night, then we must take a taxi back to the hotel which is rather very inconvenient for the guests.

Spacious, clean and modern room. Near to city centre.
Not much option for dining near the hotel area.
The hotel is not as modern as some others, however it is really worth it for the price you pay.
When we stay at the hotel, it is still under renovation and therefore, it is very noisy during the daytime and the windows are all covered with papers (no view at all). However, it seems that if the windows are uncovered, the view will be quite pleasant, since the hotel is located quite high, near to the guia light house.
The hotel also provides shuttle service every half an hour to the ferry terminal and some other places, such as the sands, grand lisboa, etc... And then, you can go to the venetian by shuttle service from The Sands or Ferry Terminal. All the shuttle services are provided for free.
The location is not far away from the city centre, so if you are interested to see some attractions, such as Ruinas the Sao Paulo, Largo de Senado, etc., you can always hail a cab or catch the shuttle.
Restaurant Tip : Go to city centre for food

Clean Room. Great & Helpful Service from Front line staff. Value for Money
Breakfast Cafe not able to cater for large crowd - not prepared.
Our first time in Macau. The front line hotel staff were very helpful - we asked quite a lot of questions. Reasonable sized room and clean with all necessary amenities in place. Have shuttle bus to town center which is great - but last bus to return to hotel is bit too early - for a city that has great night life. Breakfast spread is average but the cafe seemed not prepared for the large crowd - not enough table, we waited for about 15 minutes for our table. Perhaps they are overworked, the waitress and the cook (frying the eggs) weren't friendly. Overall, a good value for money hotel.

Location is far from main district
A nice clean hotel with a reasonable price.
The location is not located in main district, so we will need a transportation.
Luckily the hotel provide a shuttle bus that will travel to main district at every 30 minute.

unfresh smell, not too friendly staff
very good value for the money, good location, 5 min away from the wynn, good cheap restaurant roscoe down the street..
terrible food, construction noises everyday, annoying ding of the elevator if your room is close by the elevator...people slamming the doors early in the morning..
if you're broke, good choice to go to...certainly not 5 stars...4 stars barely...
Restaurant Tip : go to roscoe down the street

Cleanliness and Staff Performance
Overall my parents and i are happy with the hotel. The location is great, the staff are helpful and polite especially the housekeeper and the concierge staff.
The location is great, near by the market which my parents and i have the opportunity to taste the local food within walking distance.
I will definitely stay at this hotel again when my next visit to Macau.

Modern facilities, good buffet breakfast, good service, our room is spacious, friendly staff all together.
The chinese staff is not very fluent in English. I am glad that we found the Filipino Staff in reception, concierge, doorman have very good english. They were very helpful
I was not sure what the hotel would be like when I booked it online. When we arrived, I thought the foyer is smaller than what I pictured. However, the rooms were great. Booking the premium rooms was the best thing my friends and I did. Being in the premium room we got special treatment from the staff, free breakfast, free drinks from 11am to 8pm, and a free afternoon tea from 4:30pm to 8pm. It was really good value for money. The free shuttle buses to the different hotels was an added bonus to our holiday. I will recommend this hotel to anyone. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Shopping Tip : Our hotel is very close to the casinos, the centre of town and shops. They are just about 10-15 minute walk from our hotel. There are lots of nearby shops selling clothes, food, electronic items, etc.

Nice and clean rooms.
Bellboys extremely helpful.
Reception provide EXTREMELY poor service.
Concierge very unhelpful.
Buffet breakfast had very minimal selection.
No shuttle to and from the airport.
After a long a arduous day of traveling we had to deal with the extremely poor service with the hotel's reception who were unhelpful with a problem in our booking and because of that had to get a DOWNGRADE in the hotel room after paying for a certain room. On top of that, reception recommended a nice restaurant to dine in and when asked if they could contact the restaurant for details were told to go out and use a pay phone on our own. The concierge were just as unhelpful. We were treated very poorly the entire time we were there even after extending our stay. The bellboys were very friendly and went out of their way to assist with restaurants and how to get to places. The buffet breakfast selection was very small although the order-your-omlettes were great. Rooms were clean, however the downgraded room we received was small, we were barely able to fit 2 luggage bags into the room, we could have to climb over the luaggage to get to the door.

good location, nice staff
nice staff but not too helpful; no cushion; too hard mattress; not very clean swimming pool; old fashion design
After reading the comments from Agoda about Royal Hotel, seem it is a good choice to stay with. However, both of us are feeling quite disappointed.
The mattress is as hard as wood, I couldn't sleep well as my body was numbed. Cushion seem a must item in 5 stars hotel and it can made guest feel more comfortable when setting on the sofa, but there is no cushion!
Even the hotel had renovating all the guest room, but the decoration of guest room still in old fashion and the design not change much.

Concierge was fantastic - helpful.
Staff extremely willing to help - always offering a smile.
Out of central hub but close enough to everything.
Price was great.
It would be great if there was a spa in the pool area.
The beds were very hard (and I mean very hard) took some getting used to
We stayed 4 nights at the Royal Hotel.
The level of customer service was excellent.
Breakfast selection was great.
We enjoyed a few nights at the Mocha club where the small casino atmosphere was just right before bed.
If you dont mind being out of the central area and dont need the high glamour then this is the place for you.
The price was well worth it.
We have already recommended this hotel to our friends.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Try the Macau Tower buffet lunch for the best view and a great lunch at a wonderful price. Get to see bungy jumping and skywalking while you eat - we loved it!
