good location, close to all amenities, definitely a DECENT hotel, clean and spacious

Lifts need to upgrade, too slow

A DECENT and clean hotel located in a superb location, close proximities to all F&B and activities a tourist requires. Friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely stay here again should I re-visit Macau and strongly recommend any visitors planning a holiday here. Good experience.

Travel tip : Walking distance to Senado Square for food and shopping, local cakes & pasteries and St Pauls Ruins and some heritage sites. Free shuttle buses just outside hotel to take you to City of Dreams/Venetian and ferry terminal. Diagonally across Sintra, you can also access free shuttle buses outside Grand Lisbao to the border gate to Zhuhai. Must eat in Macau - Pork Rib bun and Portugues tarts, best available at Kam Ma Lun Bakery and Margaret's Cafe respectively... all within walking distance from hotel. Enjoy!!!

location!!! the hotel staff were gracious. room amenities were amply provided (complimentary water, toiletries, etc.)

hotel room facilities (carpets, cabinets, etc.) may need more cleaning or retouching.

My sister and i enjoyed our stay in Sintra hotel - we also felt safe and secure despite being in the center of the town. When I think of returning to Macau, I will think of Sintra.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Use the various hotel shuttles (City of Dreams, MGM Grand, etc.) that are waiting just outside the hotel entrance. Walk along Henrique and get on bus 32 to Macau Tower.

There is free shuttle bus between Ferry pier to the hotel.

Price is quite expensive comparing to grade of room.

Price is quite expensive comparing to grade of room. Moreover, even though there is a free shuttle, hotel doesn't inform us before as well as there is no welcome/notice sign for hotel shuttle showing at the ferry pier. By the way the hotel is located near the center of Macau, so it's easlier for us to go shopping at Senado Square. :-)

Location close to all historical sights. Large hot water Samovar in room.

Small lobby and lifts.

The Sintra Hotel is well positioned in Macau close to all the historical sights. It also has a free courtesy bus to the ferry terminal. We requested a room not facing the large TV screen on the Emperor Hotel opposite and were given a nice room overlooking a small square where we were able to watch the local people doing their morning exercises. We enjoyed our stay there.

Travel tip : We wanted to dine at the Macau Military Club, which is close to the hotel. It was Friday and we only requested a table in the morning. They were fully booked. Tip - book early.

-Clean, rather spacious room -Efficient and friendly service -Excellent location

-Hotel allows smoking in the lobby and indoor area

Although we booked a standard room, we were upgraded to deluxe - a very good gesture and marketing achievement. The fit-out and room amenities exceed its 3 star rating, which was a pleasant surprise. I expected a rather run down hotel with dirty toilet and stained carpets. The room and toilet were clean and everything was working properly. Free shuttle from Ferry Terminal is really convenient, every 15 minutes. There is also free shuttle bus to "City of Dreams" in Taipa just outside the Hotel. The Venetian Resort located next to City of Dreams is only a short 5 minutes walk. Location of Sintra Hotel is excellent - 10 minutes stroll from Senado Square and St Paul's ruins. Plenty of shopping in Senado Square. New Yoahan shopping centre is just opposite Sintra. Will stay there again for my next trip.

Restaurant Tip : To savour excellent Portuguese Egg Tart, Margaret's e Nata is just 2 minutes stroll away (ask the hotel staff for direction). It is MOP 7 each - very delicious and flaky crust. You can can 3 pcs for MOP 10 at Senado Square but I didn't try it so cannot comment on the quality. Next to Margaret, there are a few Chinese joints serving good curry noodles and excellent pork chop buns.

Good location you can walk to Senado or Casino within 5-10 min. All the staff very helpful and they speak well English.

Breakfast was not included. and there is no bathrobe provided.

Very nice services , all the staff very friendly and very helpful. but when there is a heavy rain the hotel will close all the gate in every side and you cant even see inside. you might pass by and wonder where is the hotel disappeared. Just need to knock knock..and the happy kindly staff will open for you.

no shuttle bus service from the hotel to airport.

Everytimes I go to macau. I always choose Sintra hotel because the hotel is in good location near shopping center and easy to go to many places. And most of all the hotel is clean. My mother said the boys in the front door were so nice and kind to old women. The food here is good too.

Shopping Tip : The hotel is near the shopping center ,Senado square, there are so many cheap and beautiful clothes.

the location, amenities and service were excellent!

none

I loved Sintra Hotel! The location is excellent --very near the tourist attractions like the Senado Square and the Ruins of St. Paul, Casino Lisboa. There is a bus stop a minute away from the hotel, and you can ride the bus to go to the Macau Tower, Fisherman's Wharf and other places. It also provides free shuttle to the Macau Ferry Terminal, where you can hop on the free shuttle service to The Venetian and City of Dreams. Very convenient. The room itself was excellent too, very reminiscent of Shangri-la decor, beds and bath. It provides not only the basic shampoo and soap, but also a shower gel, cotton, q-tips, sewing kit, shaving kit. It also has an LCD TV featuring many English channels (not just Chinese channels). The view outside our room wasnt very nice, but we hardly look out the window anyway. The service was excellent. Everyone from the waitresses at the restaurant, the reception staff, the bellhop and the guards were very helpful and friendly. The guards and the bellhop speak English very well, and they can give you good directions and tips. Two minutes away from the hotel is Margaret's Cafe, serving yummy and cheap sandwiches, great coffee and the best portuguese egg tarts. All in all, it's two thumbs up for Hotel Sintra! If I ever go back to Macau, I will definitely book here again, and will recommend the hotel to all.

Restaurant Tip : Try Margaret's Cafe. From the Hotel, turn left then cross the junction. You'll see an alley to your left, turn there. Your nose will lead you to Margaret's Cafe e Nata, serving the best portuguese egg tarts and sandwiches.

Comfortable, clean and convenient.

Lobby is quite small, no sitting place to relax.

Sintra Hotel is one great hotel. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are nice, complete with toiletries you'll need. Its location is very convenient, near St.Paul Ruins which bargains for sale are accessible. Restaurants and malls are walking-distant. Casino buses are also available if you want to go from one to another.

Nightlife Tip : Casinos are most enjoyable during night time because you'll be able to appreciate its colorful lights and displays.

Spacious Room, accessible to casinos and tourist attractions.

Small elevator.

Hotel Sintra in Macau is truly a comfortable place to stay. Its room is spacious and very much comfortable. Its location is accessible to all casinos whether walking-distance or thru casino buses. Behind the hotel is a small eatery of good food --- roast bbq, peking ducks and more. Yao Han mall is also across this hotel, everything you need -- from attractions to food to casinos -- everything is complete.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : St. Paul Ruins are very much accessible to this hotel, just a few steps and surely you'll enjoy taking pictures with this attraction.

The locaton of Sintra Hotel is so convenient where eating and shopping is around the corner.

SintracHotel staff were lack of ability to assist in suggesting where and how to go around.

It will be more helpful if Sintra have more experince local staff that can offer some suggestion of where to go and how to travel to Hong Kong Island. The staff are mainly foreign people that do not experience the city itself. However, overall experience was good and the room was reasonabily equiped but furniture was kind of old (need to upgrade soon).

Restaurant Tip : There was a very good local restaurant woth reasonable price around the left corner of the hotel

convenient location. clean.

slow elevator.

the hotel is located in the central area. it's near the old town center as well as grand lisboa casino. the room is good size. my room is facing the street yet i did not hear noises during the day or in the evening. i have stayed in several hotels in the past within 5 mins walk from Sintra Hotel. I find it reasonably priced.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It's within 5 mins walk from the old part of town.

Hotel Sintra is situated in a good location. New Yaohan Mall is just across the street. Senado Square is a good 10 to 15 minutes stroll away. Convenience store is just around the corner.

Breakfast buffet was a bit disappointing. Limited food choices at the buffet spread.

The standard room that we booked was surprisingly big in size and still of good quality. The bed was good to sleep on. The bellboys are sometimes inattentive at the lobby. They sometimes forget to open the main doors whenever we are leaving the hotel as they are chatting and joking with one another at the side. Upon our arrival at the macau ferry pier, there was a hotel sintra/yaohan/lisboa shuttle bus waiting at the bus terminal for guests of their hotel. We took the free shuttle and got to the hotel in just 8 minutes.

Restaurant Tip : Grab some lunch or dinner at the food court of yaohan mall just across the street. You'll find many choices at the food court.

Nice and spacious room Convenient location

Previous visitors smoked in the room

Got a smelly room in a non-smoking floor, but after complaining to the staff, they did something about it. Quite a convenient location, within walking distance to Ruins of St Paul's.
