That is a nice hotel, which i dont like the surrou
peaceful, nice room with great room service, and river view
9.3
In such a small area of Macau, this hotel is reli a bit remote compare with others i have been stayed.(well actually 15 mins walk to main city of macau island), but as you know that other hotels can offer 5 mins shuttle bus and near a grand mall. that is the only and tiny disappointment on this hotel...
While surrounding with residental area and old street, you would prefer stay at hotel, while the casino is not attractive either... thus i made a room service for a burger, What i am going to say is that i have never tried such a juicy burger before (include all luxuary restaurant in macau)... I will highly recomand you to try that....

Resort feel in the middle of the city
We love the relaxed/resort atmosphere of Sofitel, so rare in Macau. We also love the rich appointment of the hotel lobby and the service of the people in Sofitel. If there is something you go back to in Macau, it is Sofitel.
9.7
Very good attention to details - Sofitel Macau echoes the Sofitel brand present in all Sofitel hotels. The moment you step in the hotel, you feel like you are transported in a different place. Typical Macau hotel lobbies are noisy because of the casinos but Sofitel is able to maintain the relaxed atmosphere and yet it also has its own casino.
Great location - Sofitel is located in the heart of the city. Very near Senado Square and St Paul Ruins and the other tourist attractions in Macau. Very near the shopping areas too. It is also beside a very good Chinese Restaurant that has super delicious food and yet reasonably priced.
Excellent Service - The staff are very friendly and helpful when it comes especially to information.

Great position & wonderful service
Fantastic staff who provided excellent service & a very nice room with wonderful view
9.3
I went to Macau for a couple of nights with a friend. We deceided to pay a bit extra per night & stay in a Club room and it was really worth the extra. There was breakfast provided in the club lounge as well as afternoon tea and cocktails. We were also able to check into the room when we arrived in the morning instead of having to wait until 3pm, a real bonus. The room was on an upper floor and provided and excellent view over old Macau including a side view of St Pauls. But the most memorable aspect was the wonderful service provided by the very friendly staff all over the hotel. I have stayed in Sofitels in several other places in Asia and Australia and the attitude of the staff has been rather condescending but this was certainly not the case here. My only critisism was the smell of smoke that seemed to spread all over the hotel but this was the same in all the hotels that had a casino.

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in, the rooms were 5 star .They upgraded us to a water view. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for us.Very handy to the old Portugese section of the city.We only had two nights in Macau .We would definately stay at the Sofitel again. It was also good value.

10 minutes away from Largo do Senado (with lots of shops and restaurants). Very nice pool area. Big rooms. Comfy bed. Nice view of the downtown area. Friendly staff that speak good English. Free pick up service from ferry terminal. Unfortunately the bed linen smelled of cigarette smoke in our non-smoking room. Breakfast was expensive.

Nice hotel in the older part of Macau. Within walking distance to the historical sites like Ruins of St Paul's, etc. Great service from the hotel staff, they were ready to help when I asked for directions. Was there with mum and she is happy with the hotel too.
