room location service aii are nice

buffet the food not good as the cost

i have experience in macau before so i choose the best and the sofitel can response almost all i need the times for check in is very short the services the room is very good i got the city view on 15th floor in the morning igo to fitness that close to swimming pool ican see the sea view on6th floor then icame back again the next morning

Travel tip : do not forget to go to senado try to shopping during night time walk along the street u will see grand lisboa and wynn try to eat chinese restaurant opposit the sdfitel

The location is great. and the room is very comfy!

The hotel location is about 5 mins to the ferry terminal(macau to zhuhai). and also very convenient to local shops, restaurants and other casinos by walking distance. the room is very cozy with morden style. the bathroom kit is from a famous France brand, I just love it! Needless to say, the bed is so soft that I can relaxing my tired body from the whole day walking. I really appreciate the nice receiption as they are alway smile and polite the whole time during checking in and check out! The price is fair. Highly recommend!

Nightlife Tip : The hotel has it's own casino so you can try your luck at night if you don't feel like go to bed early. the casino also has a full bar service!

Very comfortable and staff are very friendly and helpful

Its a short walk from most things.

I loved this hotel, I found it very clean and very luxurious. The staff were helpful and I cant really say anything bad about this place.

The hotel location is good, just a walking distance to the heart of Macau. The room is clean and the decoration is very nice which is in moden French style.. The toiletries is L'Occitane which is so great. The front desk service is good and very efficient. Overall, the hotel is value for money.

Great amenities and friendly staff

Late check in Located quite a distance from the places of interest

I stayed at Sofitel for a night. I was a little unhappy of the late check in as we had just arrive from China and were very tired. However, the staff were really friendly. We were greeted by the housekeeping staff as we left the room for dinner. The trainer at the gym was really friendly too. And when we were about to leave the hotel, the staff helped us to call a taxi, negotiate the price and loaded our luggage before waving goodbye to us. That really added a personal touch. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

near to the center of attraction, Senado Square, Ruin of St Paul. Clean hotel. easy to find food.

getting n the corner room with no view

The hotel is very clean, nice and good location, walking distance to Senado Square and Ruin of St Paul. Have shuttle from Pier and can catch up another shuttle to any interesting places. Receptionist and concierge are amazingly kind.Not to forget about free L'Occitane product in your bathroom and option of pillow which helped me to get a good sleep with my aching shoulder.

Clean Room

NOt convenient place

Excellent service and decoration, have french style. As well as great value for money for the buffet, have many choices. Shuttle bus is not enough and the place is not very convienent. The view of the room is great. General comment is great and if have chance I will choose this hotel again in future. Thanks

A different hotel with a taste of European culture.

Staff given wrong information on internet access rate.

The outlook and interior design of the hotel is elegant with a taste of European culture which is different from most of the hotels in Macau. I stayed there for 1 night on 27/11 and was upgraded to Executive Room which is a delightful surprise for me and my wife. My wife is an "Art eater" and she likes the hotel very much. The pool is nice in non-regular shape but pity that it is winter now so we were not able to swim there. the Executive room, which is out of our expectation, is beautiful with all sorts of stuff we need. Iron, hair dryer, cable wire for internet connection, nice bathroom stuff....... The bed is comfortable and pillow is good. I called to ask for the rate of accessing internet in the room and the answer was $160 for 4 hours. It is an expensive rate but my wife need to access internet for urgent matter. However, it turned out to be free access for 24 hours when we tried to login in the hotel server. I think the staff had given wrong information and if we decided not to access internet due to the rate, we will not able to enjoy what we could enjoy. The casino is similar to other hotels. Staff I countered speak English but I think the hotel have a lot of staff speaking Chinese as there are many Mainland China visitors nowsdays in Macau. The hotel is a little mobile from city centre but as I did go to Macau a few times before, I can still find good food near the hotel in aid of a traveller's guide book. I booked a superior room with a good price under the award scheme of Agoda and the upgrading to Executive room made me and my wife enjoying a very nice room with a low price.

Restaurant Tip : There is no night life outside the hotel but if you walk along the main street outside the hotel heading north for about 10 minutes you can find a short Chinese man doing fired noodle with beef on the street. He has a small restaurant behind his stall and the food is nice.

Very Well Maintained Hotel. Great amenties.

Area. Security was missing before the access to the hotel rooms. Since the hotel is in street level they need to check whether the guests who enters the elevator to the room has valid key. All other big casinos hotel has that security check. Since it is a casino any people can come in . They have security to check the casino floor not for the guest rooms

Overall the experiance was very good . The hotel was well maintained . All amenties in the room where mordern and french branded toiletries were great. I am able to remeber the room and smell the room . Memories will definiely last forever. The hotel views were spectacular in all the side since there is no taller building nearby.

Hotel Feature Tip : Not all the packages include the free breakfast so be aware. All Macau is not like Vegas. City is not clean and the there is no strip. There is three different places all the casinos are groped together. One place where Venitian and dream city there,another place where MGM and Lisboa is there, and last Sofitel is stand alone in another place. So be aware you need to take a taxi for 40HK$ to suffle around places. After 12 midnigt it is not safe to go around and nothing there at all.

o I am surprised it is hard to get food in the hotel after 11 pm. I managed to only get a piece of buttered bread at the casino. o The shuttle bus service is not as frequent as some of the other five star hotels.

Overall a great hotel. It is convenient to the areas of interest, local food and amentities. It is close to tourist interest areas like the Ruin of St Paul, the Na Cha Temple etc. I would say the casino is decent(not grand), and is not providing enough refreshments or well priced food.

Facilities A++ Friendly and helpful staff Easy walking distance to the old town square, St Pauls, etc..

Some constructin work was going on - however as soon as I phoned re this it ceased. Bar service at the pool very slow.

The Sofitel provides excellent amenities - our group of four were all very excited when we arrived and entered our rooms. All the mod cons - and all at a very reasonable price. Position is very good - easy walking distance to the historical area of the old town. Our only regret was that we didn't allow ourselves more time to enjoy the facilities of the hotel and our great rooms.

Shopping Tip : Found the shopping in Macau easy - shops in close proximity.

The Service was excellent, the cleanliness of the room was impeccable, the buffest was great! For the price that you pay you certainly get back more from the wonderful experience..

Just a minor weakness might be the smoke smell oozing from the hotel casino, but then again all hotel in macau would be the same.

From the moment I set my foot in the room I was taken back by the view of the waterfront and the swimming pool view - which has the best view I've ever seen. The front desk people were excellent, at service and efficiency. The room was cleaned twice a day, at night they make your bed and prepared your slippers so all you had to do is just wind, relax and slip yourself under the blanket. The restroom was clean, I'm very pedentic with restrooms and I have to say I was very very happy with the state of cleanliness. And for about AU$20 you can have a beautiful breakfast deliverd to your room in a white cloth trolley, comes complete with your fresh cut flower. What a beautiful experience, will definetely go back, again and again... Thanks Agoda!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Location wise is abit further than the rest of the 5stars hotel, therefore taxi is needed. But it's very close to the shopping area.

Lovely room, view, pool, staff

Couldn't win at the casino! Ordering food at the pool is a bit cumbersome ... should have staff available. Should be able to order and eat at your chairs in a five star hotel.

We had a lovely three day stay at Sofitel Ponte 16 Macau. It was a great place to visit for a long weekend in Hong Kong. We bought Macau bus passes from the OK store and explored lots of places. The Concierge recommended a great Portuguese restauarant for our first night. The swervice and care at the hotel was very special ... but free wi-fi is expected in 5 star hotels these days and there seemed to be 'rules' for the pool ... re attire, drinks, food around the pool ... this needs to be attended to, to make for a perfect stay. We will definitely be back on our next long weekend.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Buy the bus pass tickets from the OK store if you plan several visits. Such fun to hop on and off buses with the locals.

great pool area, lovely breakfast, stunning interior design and finally a relaxed evening meal in the bar. this was a fantastic escape from the casino glitz and a welcome surprise.

Hotel Feature Tip : Ask to eat breakfast at an outdoor pool table. It's a great way to start on a nice day.

The Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 Hotel is only one year old. The location is great and only less than 10-minute walk to the city center. I paid only 70 MOP from the airport to the hotel. The staff at this hotel were very helpful.We stayed from 23 to 25 October 2009 and had to check out at 11:00 am and left our luggage at the hotel and picked up in the evening before our flight. Again, staff were very helpful. This hotel is very clean. My room was perfect.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The city center is very close and all the sightseeing places are on foot to be explored.
