Pleasant stay but distress service

Me & my wife were there for our 5th year wedding anniversary along with our 2 kids aged 2-4 years old. The resort offers pleasant room and nice view from the balcony. The beach was great, clean, mild sands and soothing breeze. We had a great time over the water theme park and jacuzzi in our room which kept our kids busy.
On the contrary, the staffs are not upto our expectation i.e. there was a pungent smell in our room upon entering and highlighted to the front desk of which the first question they asked us was 'how many days will you be staying?'. What does the number of days has to with the smell. The room service guys came in sometime later and found there were remains of diapers of the previous guests of which they forgot to dispose it during the last check out. No odour/smell killer and requested us to compromise.
The second incident was at the Endah Restaurant, they had 2 different menus, one had more choice of food which my wife was holding and the one i had consisted lesser choice. The menus also had 2 different pricings i.e. coke was RM3.80 in one menu & the other at RM5.00.
The waitress was not able to explain which price is referred herein. She was also unable to give us a specific time when our food can be ready though they only had 2 tables occupied prior us. We walked off with hunger and anger. We had to call off our intention to have a pleasant dining with an anniversary cake later night due to this sort of service level.
Other than that the staffs at water theme park, guards and retailers were of pleasant service level. Overall we had a memorable anniversary there consisting both good and bad.
Hope the management will take our comments positively and improve the service level of their front desk, restaurant and room service.

If you are looking for hotel for relaxation and fun for the children, I recommend this hotel.
You can go for chinese spa at the penthouse and themepark for the children.
The room is spacious with huge bathroom and jacuzzi. Worth the money!!
The hotel area and rooms are quite dusty due to renovation works. Others should be ok because you wont be the room the whole day.

It was a good clean hotel It was a family type hotel and not for couples.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
They had a water theme park in which would be great for the kids. The place was a bit isolated from other places however, they had a restaurant and a convenient store handy.

Have Potential but, ruined by poor service

overall, it was a nice weekend gateway - big studio room with nice jacuzzi for two plus, the room price inclusive of 2 water theme park passes & breakfast.
there are two major things that i'm not satisfied:
1) the receptionist is not friendly and not that professional. he treated the guests like handling registration for marathon. worse thing was the receptionist did not explain about the room no 2136 which made trouble for us to find our studio room. 2136 means block 2, level 1, room no 36. management, please give proper training to your staff.
2) i kind of expecting this to happen since i read other people reviews before coming to this resort. i checked in at 6pm and the room is not ready!!! come on management. you asked people to check-out at 12pm yet you can't utilize the 6 hours to clean up the room.
anyway, put these two (2) issues aside, you will enjoy your short vacation.

location is nice and the water park is a plus point, however, the room was not well maintained. heater broken, floor was sticky and etc. there was delay in check in because the room was full and customers who were just arrived from distance place have to wait at the small lobby with not enough chair or sofa. a lot of customers were from families including babies and elderly.
the coffee house service was bad with not enough tables and again many of us have to wait during breakfast time. need to improve on the services, otherwise the place is good for family vacation.
