Nice colonial grand hotel, but not what you expect

Quite frankly: Not at all what we expected.
We thought this place offers nice open areas and views at the plantations.
They do the best they can, the hotel is well maintained, they have superb staff and the rooms are really nice (except: DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE NOISY DRAIN IN THE BATH ROOMS! There are noise reducing drain pipes in the market, you know...).
However, they can do nothing do about the main road in front of the hotel and the fact that all balconies are facing that road. So forget about sleeping with the window open to enjoy the cold mountain air...it is simply too noisy for that.
Also they talk about being surrounded by tea plantations...well, you cannot see them. The plantations are in the area, but accross the mountain.
What you do see is the golf course on the other side of the road.
Also there is no real outside area you can sit at and enjoy the view. Yes, they do have a garden, but that is really cramped in the cour yard...
All in all: well maintained colonial grand hotel but fainling to deliver almost anything you come to the Cameron Highlands for.

Big room and cleaniness. comfy bed n good pillow. Their SPA is good but a bit costy. On friday and saturday there got a night market near by. And many restaurant too. Morning you can join the hotel activity is ready.

Very nice hotel but road noise
Rooms were great. Food was good. Staff was excellent.

Enjoyed. Great rooms, almost all boxes ticked. My major complaint is that it is too close to the main road and it gets noisy at night. If the room can be sound proofed, it would have been wonderful.

I wanna stay longer

The service was just 5-star and the room was beautifully decorated. It is as what you see in the pictures. Our guide told us that this is the best hotel in Cameron and i can definitely see why.
Some things they can brush up though is the breakfast menu... the choice is limited and we got tired of it by the 3rd day. However you can just take a short 10-15 min walk to Brinchang if you want to get a taste of the local food. Also the sound from the road can be audible... we weren't bothered by it but just something for you to take note if you are considering this hotel.

luxury close to the nature
Superb ambient & room with friendly staffs

Its a higher end luxury hotel that we normally won't stay. But i book it for my parent so i thought gave them the best.. but through Agoda we save 40% off the walk in rate!
Hotel is superb & staff are friendly & helpful making me feel like a VIP guess!

First was for sure the best location that I've ever stayed and stayed here one night in one of the smaller rooms. room was nicely decorated. Breakfast is good, free wireless. Price is very reasonable taking into account that hotels are in general expensive .Nice lobby with art works.

Most probably the best hotel in the area. Not cheap but actually good value by comparison with similar standard hotels elsewhere. Colonial style hotel with good layout, and stylishly (in colonial style) decorated. Staff service was very good. Comfortable stay and I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Avoid public holidays - too much traffice congestion!

Beautiful hotel with very nice decorated and large rooms. The spa was really a nice experience and overall great value for the money. There is plenty of opportunities to trek around the very beautiful area and the golf course is just located opposite the hotel.
