Jan C. Groups Malaysia, December 19, 2011	Good location but place is not well maintained a little short of everything 5.3 Its located at tanah rata. So overall its a good location. Went there on a weekend and the rooms that was allocated was run down. Previously stayed at block A , which is still acceptable, that was the reason why i chose this place for me and my friends. This time round, was allocated block C. We have 4 rooms and when we went to the rooms, there are problems with 2 of the rooms - both had lights not working at differnt corners of the room - bathroom, bedside or the light at the pourch. Other than that, they do not have enough staff at the front desk. while i was checking in, i kept hearing the phone ringing , which was a little annoying. when later i tried to call for service - same thing occur again.....took them some time to pick up the calls. The furniture in the rooms were all dated. Breakfast selection - nothing to rave abt. quite limited and the noodles were too oily.

I would advise not to take that room as it was not a private garden at all, it is a shared garden after all. It is just like a partition that seperated the gardens and you still can say 'hi' to your next door neighbour lol. We don't mind it actually but not with this price we've paid for the room. It should be cheaper if it was like this. I guess this is their selling point, means to cheat? Room security is not good. The balcony sliding glass door could be open from the outside if you check it and push it harder. Room is spacious and not scary, but there is water leaking in our toilet which they claimed it was from the water heater Reception are not very friendly with smiles on their face, so dont expect that..and they're quite slow in working process. Many guests have to wait..

Families with young children Singapore, December 19, 2011	Excellent location and good service Great location, good service, big rooms, 4 to 5-star setting, Grand lobby. 7.7 i picked this hotel for our stay and had no regrets. they have one of the best locations, which is 5-7 min walk to the tanah rata coach station and taxi stand, ideal since we did not drive. however, the garden you need to walk by is lowly lit at night, so you may have to take a longer route by the front if you walk back at night. we had deluxe rooms at the 4th floor. there were some stains on the bed covers, but the bedsheets were clean. there was no filter at the basin (strange) and you have to be careful not to drop your toiletries or contact lenses in there. the bathtub is for showers, not for soaking. hotel could be better maintained. generally, it is made in a 5 star setting, big rooms and toilet, but you need to expect 3-star items provided. no free wi-fi in the rooms (disappointed), only at the restaurant and lobby area. however, receptionists and housekeepers all very friendly and will try to help you as much as they could. breakfast is basic, sufficient for a quick meal before you move on. Hotel Feature Tip: Bring your own comb, shaver, toothbrush, hand towel. Hotel provides one bottle of hair-body shampoo, soap, shower cap, sanitary bag, and box tissue. Bring extra slippers/socks for walking in room as it is not carpeted. One pair of rubber slippers provided. Need to ask for bath towels if not provided, or obtain from housekeeper if you see them along the corridor. Bring thick sleepwear as there's no heater in rooms.

Super location. 8 we had a lovely stay in century pines using it as a base to visit tea plantations, etc. in the area. although there was wireless internet in the restaurant and lobby area, it would be useful if there was wifi in the rooms. the rooms are large and comfortable.

Families with young children Malaysia, December 19, 2011	Lovely Hotel and Great Location, very convenient Is a quiet place 8.3 first time stay in century pines, feel that the room are very big for family with 2 kids. and, i like the environment...quiet place to stay. Nightlife Tip: location very convenient for 'makan', especially for a drink with friends and family.

Groups Singapore, December 18, 2011	Good location The room was spacious 7.7 room was big and spacious. service was prompt to replace flickering lights in the bathroom. king size bed was huge and comfortable. good service overall. Restaurant Tip: It's easy to walk to Tanah Rata Town for food and shopping services from here.

Couples Malaysia, December 18, 2011	Great hotel with comfortable rooms Clean rooms, ammenities, near to Tanah Rata town 9.7 the rooms are clean and amenities are plenty. it's near to tanah rata, within walking distance to the bus station as well. great service. they have newspaper hanging on the door nob in the morning.

Couples Singapore, December 18, 2011	Just an average hotel Rooms are acceptable, bathrooms are large and pleasant enough 3.7 Despite the pleasant hotel, I feel the staff were officious but not courteous. We requested for a double bed but were given 2 singles, no explanation, no apologies, just a take it or leave it attitude. Instead the staff pointed us to a legal waiver stating the hotel had the right to provide whatever rooms were available. I felt as if I was talking to the local chief. On arrival, the room had no soap, no toilet paper and no tissue paper. Again no explanation, no apologies, just another take it or leave it attitude. Breakfast was not enjoyable and we did not eat the next morning. I suspect the staff felt they were doing us a big favour for letting us stay in the hotel. So I can only say I feel I should not inconvenience the staff in future. Restaurant Tip: Don't dine there.
