the place is very old and also not upkept extremely well. however, it's location is second to none. the proximity it has to the kea farms is wonderful. you can even walk out of the hotel and get the freshest vegetables and flowers.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
I have not been to Cameron Highlands for a long time, the trip to Tanah Rata has to be pre-planned as there are many people heading there from about 6 pm onwards.

The hotel is located at the highest point in cameron highland. A few years back the view from the hotel used to be supern facing the forest and hence early in the morning you could view the clouds over the mountain. Now the whole valley is commercialised to become a farming town, hence when you look out all you can see is ugly farms and hence it has lost its charm to be used for view. The rooms are just ok, based on the price we paid.

Poorly-maintained hotel at a great location, pity

Stayed at so-called renovated Superior room. Only urinal and shower points are new, the rest - furniture, bed, wardrobe, doors, tv consoles, lightings are remnants of the old. Wifi sucks ... whether at hotel's lobby which by the way is free, but if you want wifi in your room, you purchase a RM 30 for 24-hour usage. Come on, wifi bearly cost anything nowadays, why not give it as complimentary to the staying guests? Had rooms changed facing the hotel's apartment, slightly better. all around the hotel, there is serious lack of maintenance - flower beds, driveway, landscaping, toilets, lobby, road leading into and out of the hotel, gardens and landscaping all around the many apartment blocks. It's time the management of Equatorial invest money and time into refurbishing the whole place. You are perched on the highest spot of Brinchang, don't waste away a good location!

Lovely hotel with great mountain view

Arrived at Tanah Rata afternoon , called hotel and shuttle bus came to pick us up. Great service. Check in is fast, given high floor as requested. Room is big and clean. Unfortunately the room is next to lift that give constant noise especially during night time. However the staff is nice to change the room on my second day stay. On second day, in the morning, we requested the scheduled bus shuttle to pick us up for return trip to hotel at 6pm,but we have to wait till 6:20pm after two phone calls. This is something that they should look into. Overall, we are happy to stay at this hotel.

The hotel is located in close to the starting point of the trail to the Boh tea plantation. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is lacking on charm and is rather a good 2 star hotel.

lovely hotel with very nice view

Need to walk a very far distant to the hotel from the main road. Traveling to their town and tourist area is very far away therefore need to arrange for transportation. The room is big and has a nice view. In the morning, I feel cool and relax when breathing in the fresh air. The hotel staff are polite and helpful. Overall stay in equatorial is acceptable.

The hotel stands majestic on a hill overlooking a serene space of greens. We arrived at 10am which is still not the official check-in time but the counter staff accomodated us with allowing us to check-in. Std room ok. Tour agent also very accomodating to the point that theirs was full, made arrangements with other tour operator to accomodate us. Downsides: no live band entertainment. The karaoke a bit pricey, shower holder in the room we were assigned not working, got to hold the shower manually, no in-house spa.
