Great Location, Peak View but old rooms

I hope room will be refurbish soon due to the price is about 4 star price but with 3 stars room. room furnitures are old. However my room was hill view, i able to see wonderful hill scenery.
Restaurant Tip:
out from hotel turn to left about 300m, a small cafe named "sweet in heart", it serve reasonable price for desserts and meals. I like Tiramisu there.

Nice Hotel, Amazing View

location of the hotel is right at the top of brinchang and that means you get great views and nice cool temperatures (15 degrees celsius) we booked the 2 bedroom apartment. the apartment itself are very large and have a very large balcony which offer spectacular views! cleanliness was ok. could be alot better maintained and could do with some refurbishing. but overall, a pleasant stay at 5300ft above sea level. there are alot of shops conveniently located a few minutes walk away but they all close around nightfall. the hotel features an indoor pool and karaoke than can be fun with the right company. hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating too.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Swimming pool, Karaoke Rooms, Cricket Bar, walk to nearby markets and street stalls along the road up to the Hotel from Tanah Rata direction.

Old hotel with a great view

Pleasure until the free shuttle forgot to pick us up from Tanah Rata at 9pm on the Saturday. Waited for an hour in the cold till 10pm before we got a cab to drive us back. Due to the location of the hotel, not many cab are willing to take us to the hotel. Upon checking with the front desk staff what happened, the hotel had forgotten to make arrangement for our return trip. A verbal apology was all we got. What a 'nice' way to end the holiday.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you are using the free shuttle, do re-comfirm the pickup. The hotel location may not allow walking back on your feet.

Hotel Equatorial is a well known brand but this hotel in cameron highland is simply too rusty to stay. The hotel lobby look old and not well maintained. The room is furniture is rusty. the tiles inside toilet is super duper stained. im just very disappointed with this hotel generally.

Ermm... I just don't think this was for us and would potentially recommend you cost this destination as a day trip only.
I think the hotel did the best with what they had available to them. The room was clean-ish and staff were very friendly. Out lunch was ok but our dinner was atrocious!
Knowing what we know now, we would not have needed a hotel and only passed through.

My old parents can't stand the cold weather - better for the hotel to provide heater system probably on selective basis if can't provide for the whole hotel.
Travel tip:
Be prepared for the cold weather especially at night.
