walking distance to strawberry park, bee farm and nearby to town. Nice highlands mountain view.

Hotel breakfast - variety not alot but still the food not bad. The superiors room we stayed abit old and has a smell. The TV programs are limited. The pool also very small.

Quite unfortunate that we reached the hotel around 11am and was told there were no available rooms for early check in. The counter told us will call us as soon as the room is ready. Thus we sat at the lobby waited. 1pm still no call, we walked to the counter to query and they told us room is ready..sigh..weren't we waiting for their call? Hotel entertainment chargers are pretty pricey, thus at night...there really isn't much to do in the hotel.

location and facilities

gym-is located at 4th floor, but customer have to get the key from reception counter at lobby indoor swimming pool-is located at 5th floor, again, customer have to get the pool towel at recreation counter at the hotel lobby

equatorial have a very good location, nice scenery and easy to access, easy to find. the room is nice and spacious but the bathroom is quite dirty, maybe because of the hotel age. the bath tab need more scrubbing. the guest toilet at 4th floor is not suitable for malaysian culture, no water hose in the toilet. most of malaysian use water in the toilet, especially malays.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : the hotel is just a walking distance to the kea farm and near the Boh plantation entrance

Natuaral Scenery, Location is very attractive.

The staff is not so efficient. The hotel management will add a welcome drink. Rooms are not so wide.

It's very Beautiful, natural picyure also very attarctive. Rooms are ok, and clean. We'll stay there only one night and we got overall good service. Its breakfast is very good & delicious. I will definitely go back again with my family when I will be there. Lots of parking facilities and beautiful reception area. I will recommend everyone to stay there.

good views in the high altitude, not too crowded

rooms are kind of old feeling, bar man did not know how to make proper cocktails

overall not bad but not quite worth the money they charged, if I was going back to this area would probably look for a smaller boutique style hotel

Restaurant Tip : Jin Jin restaurant at the bottom of the hill had a great steamboat, lots of food and it was very cheap for the quality

Breakfast was included with a good buffet. Outside facilities are in great condition. Location on the Highlands is ideal, with many things to see within minutes of the hotel.

I'm not picky, but the rooms need rennovation. For example, the carpet in our room was so worn it was frayed. An electical conduit was removed from the room and it has the previous paint color showing.

Even though there are cons, I will make my reservation with this hotel when I next visit Cameron Highlands. The staff were friendly, the price was low, and the food was good. This is not a hotel you would use to impress business clients, but people don't go to Cameron Highlands to conduct business. The rooms are clean though dated. A good place to bring your family.

-The best breakfast variety ever!! -Movies played every night. -Nice area for dining in the coffee shop

-10 minutes drive from nearest town. -Not much of a night life going on in the area. -It gets boring and there is nothing to do at night.

We really enjoyed our stay there. The Breakfast was amazing. The weather was so nice in the morning while having breakfast. Staff are friendly. The room was good. The bath room was good as well. There are pool tables downstairs which you can utilize for a nominal fee.

Efficient, friendly and helpful front office receptionist. Room clean and facilities are adequate and well maintained.

Charges for extra blankets and pillows should be abolished.

We were most impressed with Front Office receptionist who checked us in. She was friendly and helpful. At the time of checked-in the room was not ready,so we went out to do some shopping. When we did not returned to Hotel after 4.00PM, the receptionist called us on our handphone to inform us the room is ready.

Clean, friendly staff, nice scenery from room window

food in cafe was a bit bland and breakfast could be improved upon

I enjoyed my one night in this Hotel, very pleasant journey to Hotel. room was spacious, terrific view, well appointed. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Only issue I had was on the food side. I ate in the Cafe and the food was just tastless. Breakfast was not good and I felt disappointed in that for a Hotel of this high calibre But all round the Hotel was value for money, well situated for the Cameron Highlands area and worth a visit.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : try to arrive early or mid day in the area as it does get wet late in the afternoon most days!

cold and nice view

service is weak

Nice and cozy place located on the top of the mountain. The view and scenery here is fantastic especially eaarly morning to see the sunrise.opposite the hotel is the strawberry farm my kids love very much. Overall the hotel is nice and the food is good but the service is a bit lack of profession. When I want to use the internet service I need to pay extra RM39 and that only allowed in one PC. I think that's a bit too much for a nice hotel like that.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : nice and cozy place. The scenery is beautiful

Great rooms -- bed comfy, hot water on demand (no switch to flip and wait for), quiet if you closed the bathroom door -- great service, waitstaff went out of their way to find us a table even with the Hari Raya Buffet crowd -- the buffet was fantastic in the evening and at breakfast. Amazing selection of chinese, malaysian and western cuisines. I also ordered ala carte and had a great BBQ burger with fries and the best coleslaw I've had. The chinese buffet featured a steamboat that is not usually my favorite but the ingredients were varied, numerous, the soup stock delicious and they included an alternative of chicken or crispy duck with rice (which was fantastic).

I wish they had dessert selections with the chinese buffet. However, this was not a big deal. Since the Equitorial is at the top the road up can be wearing so we suggest taking the old highway -- much faster -- we beat a lot of the Hari Raya traffic.

I loved this hotel and it is one of the best so far. I read reviews prior to booking that griped about service, old decor, etc. But none of this was true. Either they re-decorated or someone's very picky. The room was very comfortable and tastefully furnished. The front desk personnel always smiled when I initiated a smile first and were more than helpful with any request -- newspaper, directions, suggestions. The food was fantastic in all the restaurants. There is also a Chinese restaurant Jin Jin out on the main road that is a must -- not affiliated with the hotel. I would suggest avoiding the bar unless they get faster help. They seemed to be training a new guy when we were there. The head bar man was great and mixed good drinks but he could not keep up with mixing and serving everyone by himself. All in all, this was a fantastic hotel and they definitely have good service and comfy rooms.

Restaurant Tip : As you are going out onto the main road, turn right and about a block down the hill is a Chinese restaurant Jin Jin. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. They featured steamboats but they also had ala carte with selections like honey chicken or lemon fish. The honey chicken was great and came with rice, some veggies (cucumbers, tomatoes) and coleslaw for about $6 RM. We also ordered a separate spicy soup that was great!

LIke the hospitality rendered by the hotel staff, especially the front desk and concierge. Also like the scenic views the rooms have to offer.

Hotel is rather run down, needing a refurbishment badly.

I enjoyed my stay at Equatorial Hotel, Cameron HIghlands during the recent Hari Raya Break. Even though the stay was short (impromptuly decided to go away from the city), my trip to the beautiful highlands was memorable. I was particularly impressed with the friendliness and hospitality rendered by the hotel crew, from front desk to housekeeping. The room is also spacious and had an awesome view of the green highlands. However, the hotel is rather run down and badlyl needs a refurbishment, eventhough the rooms are rather pricey. It's quite a waste to have everything so almost perfect only to have it "spoilt" with the run down building, furnitures and bathroom. Nevertherless, all in all my stay in Equatorial Cameron Highlands was pleasant and I'm glad I stayed at Equatorial. I'll be back! :-)

Nice hotel and near to Market.

Far from the Bus station.

Nice hotel and staff are friendly. It's far from the bus station. Not that convenient if you have no car! Next to the market, can buy fresh flowers, sweet corn.

Restaurant Tip : hotpot near hotel is really good.

Highest hotel above sea level. Near town.

Indoor pool not very inviting. No free internet.

Located somewhere called KEA FARM, some short distance beyond Brinchang Town. A few blocks of buildings next to it, with shop spaces mostly unoccupied. So shopping done at nearby Brinchang Town or the other towns further down the mountain such as Tanah Ratah. Hotel staff was generally friendly and helpful. Morning room service and cleaning up of the room was rather thorough. Facilities of the hotel such as gym and indoor swimming pool are generally rather old. Breakfast was average with mostly local spread.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you drive, can consider going to IPOH, which is less than 2 hours drive away.

BEAUTIFUL LOCATION AND AT THE PEAK

THE FURNITURE IS REALLY OLD AND SMELLS. THE HOUSEKEEPING IS VERY POOR.

My stay at the Cameron Highlands was pleasant. The hotel was at a nice and picturesque location, at the peak. The weather during this time was suprisingly pleasant. We had booked a suite but later on changed to the one bedroom apartment. The furniture was old and smelly. The sofa was smelling quite badly and we had to spread a bedsheet over it to keep the smell away. Overall a pleasant experience if it wasn't for the bad housekeeping.
