i and wife stay one night at this hotel.unfortunately,i got very terrible service in counter,because seem receptionist not good communacating in english.when i ask something,she give me wrong answer.also when i go for outing and come back,the manager asking us our number room and his face seem like don't believe us that we are staying here and already paid!its very annoying to us.story about room condition,we were very surprised because the toilet was so dirty and disgusting!toilet bowl was very bad condition and also the water was yellow in colour like have corrosion.another thing,i see in their website that internet(wifi) avalaible for all rooms(but did not said anything about charged!.again,i feel the hotel was trying made fool of us.breakfast also not feel satisfied because they cant arrange seat for us.menu was so simple and dont have much type of food.conclusion,i will not come again in this hotel.thank you

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
I was there on a long weekend and also School Holidays. So i had to deal with heavy traffic which took 2-3 hours for travelling 10 KM. So plan the tour accordingly.

A decent hotel

the hotel is newly established thus everything is generally new compared to many well-known but run down resorts. this is not the first trip of mine to cameron highland, i've tried plenty of hotels and resorts. hotel de la ferns will be one of my preferred.
location is good, clean rooms, rooms equipped with basic needs. however i do not enjoy the service given. the desk staff really needs to learn to serve with smile & polite. they were not helpful.
breakfast is provided, great variety and delicious. however with the limited dining tables you may want to avoid peak hours to have your breakfast.

Sungei Palas Boh Tea Farm is a must to go!

had a wonderful stay in the hotel. all the staffs were very humble and friendly. we requested for a room change cause our room was facing the road. without any further hesitation they gave us mountain view facing room with no additional cost. hospitality was superb.

we previously researched this hotel an noted the comments about the room adjacent to the main road and the road noise. we had one of those rooms and the noise wasn't a factor. it is 1½kms from the town of tanah rata which was an easy 20min stroll. tanah rata would be the pick of the towns to stay at in the cameron highlands i believe.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The cameron Highlands is all about agriculture. It receives 2.4m of rain each year, hugely fertile and a climate that allows the growing of produce all day, every day. The tea plantations are wonderful so do a day tour and visit what the Highlands are famous for. Hint: Don't visit the place in the school holidays if at all avoidable.

I stayed this hotel every time I went to Cameron Highlands, but this time I felt disappointed with their breakfast & services. The breakfast serve was awful, breads was not in shape with heavy yeast smell. Sausage with some weird taste, very oily harsh brown, may be they have changed their chef I guessed.
