Great Location right in town
8.7
We were upset in the beginning when we arrived to find that the 2 rooms we booked were no longer available.
Instead we were offered a nearby apartment instead. At first reluctant as we booked the hotel for its location, i.e. its right on main street, we were later bowled over by the nice apartment they gave us.
It had 3 bedrooms, a big living and kitchenette, plus a great view of the town with the hills behind it.
Since we had a car, it was alright for us. However, I do not recommend the apartment to those who do not have transport.
Restaurant Tip:
While we were there, the weather was chilly especially when it comes to evening time. A great dinner would be having a steamboat and there are several around the area including Silverstar Hotel itself.
I would recommend the Cameron Organic Produce restaurant a street behind the hotel as they serve organic vegetables grown on their own farms in Camerons.
Also, if you are driving, a halfway stop at the Camerons Bharat Tea Plantation is a must both for a short break, the lovely scones and tea as well as a stunning view of the valley with its picturesque tea bushes.

Great location and reasonably clean rooms
Sizewise, the room was good. The bathroom was not bad and was clean. The location was very good. Since we went during off-peak period, it was not a problem to get parking just below the hotel. Wi-fi reception was also good and the owner of the hotel was friendly.

Although we didnt spend a lot of time in the hotel, the time we spent there was a pleasant one. The only negative point about the room was that there was a little bit of damp feeling and smell as there was no window for our room open to the exterior. Anyway, it was not a big problem and it should be expected considering the climate in Cameron Highlands.

Excellent value for money and perfect location
As we stayed in the hotel during the off-peak period, the rent was not that high. The room was clean and spacious and the owner of the hotel was very friendly. The location was great with a lot of restaurants close by. For Muslims, there is a Masjid very close to the hotel. Sightseeing spots are also close by and so is the night market.

We had a pleasant stay in Silverstar hotel. We would recommend it right away to anyone.

Family Room for 5 pax is large
Facing the main road and 5 minutes walk to the night market
8.3
When we got to the hotel, there is a small reception. The owner is at the kitchen downstairs. They have their own restaurant and she went up to get my Agoda voucher and gave us the key. The room is surprisingly large so my family enjoyed it (3 single beds and 1 double bed).
The only main comment is it's at the 3rd floor and the bathroom is small. If you want to access the free wifi stay on the bed nearest to the door cause the router is at the 2nd floor near the stairs. The owner is charming to us and helpful and is willing to give discount if we eat at their restaurant. Unfortunately, my family is not fond of steam boats though.
Shopping Tip:
A lot of strawberry pillows and items are being sold. To get a value for your money, just buy things you really need or try the food and fruits there. If you are on a budget, you can buy food at the night market and then eat it in your room than eating at the restaurant.

Good location; town centre but rather noisy
Town centre, close to shops and tourist attractions
7.7
the room allocated to us was a back room with windows that open out to a back lane. the room was clean and decent; beds and the bathroom were ok.
our only grouse was the noise and smell from the backlane. the generator sound was loud and it continues till late at night. the smells from the kitchens behind were, at times, rather overpowering.
room good enough for short term stay.
Nightlife Tip:
Lots of steamboat restaurants to pick aand choose; end of the week (Thurs, Fri & Sat) pasar malam

Expensive and poor service hotel
5
1st day, when we reached hotel, we really hard to find the hotel location and no parking is reserved for us at all! then when the staff there introduce the room, it totally let us down. the room not as nice as the photo shown online, some more the room is smelly also. so we request to change room. the staff there seen like not happy with our complaint, then they just give an excuse that room full. but after we request again, from the in charge there, give us another room that face to the street..but another prbm come out--noises come out from the nite club, or ktv during nite time!the steamboat at the silverstar hotel also not very nice, the soup not nice and very tasteless, only material can consider quite fresh, maybe that the only good point...

The room is not big, but it is okay because the room is cheap. It is hard to find car park in the night when I returned back to the hotel. I have to park my car far away and i was worry of the safety of my car.

8.7
This hotel is ok but toilet is clean. The only thing not ok,is very noisy ,can't sleep not well because Very noise!,very near to main road. This place is suitable for backpacker not convenience for local who driving car because parking space are limited. Anywhere this hotel is just need 5mins walking distance to night market and also nearest the famous organic charcoal steamboat.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Strawberry Big Red Farm nice place to visit.
