Clean, affordable, charming, romantic with excellent services, meals and tours.
As you weave you way up the winding road into the cooler mountainous Malaysian rainforest of the Cameron Highlands, just past the little town of Ringlet, there suddenly appears a stunningly gorgeous Tudor-style hotel on a hill overlooking a small lake. The decor, rooms, services, meals and staff were superb. Unlike a few other hotels my wife and I stayed at in Peninsular Malaysia, we could find no fault with this highly romantic gem in the rough. I strongly recommend this be at least a one night stay for anyone wanting accommodation in the Cameron Highlands.

Furnishings, gardens, very well trained staff, tranquil setting
None come to mind. The hotel is so well run that if there ever is a problem they attend to it immediately.
We traveled to The Lakehouse from Kuala Lumpur for a long 3 day weekend. It was the perfect reprieve from city life and the room upgrade offered was an added and unexpected bonus. We are so impressed with the staff here - attentive yet unobtrusive. It was nice sitting by the fireplace relaxing at the end of the day. We will definately return.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The drive up from Kuala Lumpur was very scenic. The debate over old road /new road was not a worry. We took old road and found it easy to travel, very beautiful landscape and shorter distance to The Lakehouse than the new road.

The beautiful architecture and furniture. The friendly staff was very meticulous.
Wireless internet connection went on and off.
Not many interesting places around the hotel itself.
We were much impressed by the welcome drinks and snacks. To our pleasant surprise, they even washed our car overnight. We were really impressed by the exquisite pieces of furniture and fittings. The lounges and fire place were very cosy. My family and I felt more at home than ever!
