Activity Filled resort with great beach
Activities & Friendly Satff
8.3
we were given 2 rooms face the ocean. the view was so lovely. after a long drive of 7 hrs, my husband thought of having a hot shower but there were no towel provided for the 2 rooms. i called housekeeping dept to request for it. after waiting half an hr, i called front desk to help. after waiting for more than 2hrs, we decided to meet the manager. we were so shocked when the manager told us that all the towels were still wet. after hearing the unreasonable excuse, we decided to go out just to shop for a towel!!!!! luckily, the rest of our stay erase our unsatisfactory experience during the first day. overall, my family were very happy with the activities provided by the resort such as batik painting/congkak (malay traditional game)/kite fying/movies screenin & etc. my chldren particularly enjoyed batik painting & congkak as this was the first time they had been introduced such activities. the beach was great until my children ignored the swimming pool. the staff at the recreational dept were so friendly & helpful. the food too was great & the staff at the restaurant was friendly & helpful too.

Great beach, OK rooms, sub-par service
5.3
usual check-in time was 2pm but i arrived slightly earlier at 1pm. when i went to the counter to check to request for an early check-in and it was greeted by sour faces. fine, i wandered around the area to kill time. overall, the landscaping in the area is nice. the beach was pretty clean. deck chairs were provided on the beach but some of them were broken. when i went back to check in at 2pm, i was told my room was not ready and i was asked to wait in a corner. the wait extended to a full hour. which was terrible. no one tried to make my wait a little more pleasant by offering a cold welcome drink (something i thought was a norm in other hotels). when i finally checked into the room, there were no towels. i called housekeeping 3 times and the towels only came 2 hours later. the shelves on the room were dusty and the floor was a tad sandy. they didn't do a pretty good job cleaning up after the previous occupants. the swimming pool closed at 7pm and the staff just chased everyone out of the pool while blowing their whistles. i'm supposed to be on a little retreat and here i am being herded around like a bunch of cows. at checkout, i realized that my room service was not charged to the room. to which, i had to remind them and they then rung up the till. if not for the company i was with, the trip would have been a disaster.

Hotel next to Club Med Cherating
Near turtle watching spots

We expected more from this hotel. However, we were disappointed that the room was rundown and facilities crowded. Morning breakfast place was over-crowded. However, we enjoyed the turtle watching tour which we booked at the hotel reception counter.

Good size room. Might have seen better days. Ants!
Nice beach and all sea-facing rooms. Breakfast buffet spread was good.

had a lovely 3 nights stay in impiana. location of hotel is easy to find. nice stretch of beach. like many resort hotels of this class, maintenance seems to be a problem. the superior deluxe room is a roomy although a little dark because of the dark wood panels and flooring. we had lots of ants in the room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Turtle watching (in season) and fireflies mangrove river ride a must see in cherating.

The location is good as it is in between the turtle sanctuary and the chukai town. The staff are helpful and the design of the hotel is comfortable. !
Hotel Feature Tip:
Take note as there are no elevators to the rooms, so get ready to carry those luggage

Nicely located hotel with great beach
5.7
Lovely beach but it must've been jelly fish season. We saw quite a few dead ones on the beach. The red flag was up but no signage of any warnings. Hotel staff are friendly but front desk staff could be more efficient. Quite a good spread for breakfast.
Pizzas we ordered by the poolside were awful. More like frozen pizzas warmed up. Nothing like in the promotional picture.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It was turtle season so we were lucky to see 3 turtles laying their eggs at a beach some 2km away. We got to release the hatclings to the sea too. Amazing experience. This excursion can be arranged at the front desk. Same with the fireflies mangrove river boat ride. Spectacular!

Perfect weekend getaway
Nice beach and lively surrounding
7.7
We stayed at superior room, was fantastic with spacious room, with 3 little kids running around. All rooms are facing the sea, with the price comparable with the service provided. The beach is excellent and swimming pool is friendly to young kids, although hotel should look ways to clean the pool better.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Nice outing to seafood seafoods are nearby, but service time was dissapointed - slow. Ask for hotel to survey for good bargain seafood shopping places.

Reasonable hotel and friendly service
Great location & productive vacation

My kids have a great time at the hotel - batik painting, cycling, walking by the beach, swimming and playing at the playground. My room is spacious and cosy.
Impiana Cherating is quite near to Kemaman (get to enjoy good food like satar & keropok lekor)and Turtle santuary.
Anyhow, I noticed that the wood structures are in bad shape. Potential safety issue if the flooring (heading towards the pool and wooden staircase) damaged. Hotel management should consider to replace the wooden flooring.

Good choice of hotel
Great location and value fo money
9.3
This is definitely one of the best hotels I've stayed over the years! To start with, the room is beautiful, spacious, and airy with a fantastic view (i had a king deluxe plus seaview). The bed, bathroom, TV and other in-room facilities are first grade.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
In the morning and evening, I and my family enjoyed sightseeing near the beach and riding bicycle. It was fun and relaxed.
