The bad:
This was a last minute booking since our original booking elsewhere fell through, so I had to pay RM833 a night for a 2 bedroom apartment, which is waaaay overpriced for this 'hotel'. If there is no other option and you have to stay here, do not pay more than RM250. The breakfast selection is near non-existent (consist of plain oily fried rice, white bread, plain fried kuey tiau, vegie samosa and some fruits). The place seemed unkempt - water puddles not mopped-up, trash littering the beach near the apartment, restaurant tables not wiped down. There seem to be a serious lack of staff. The female staff handling check-in lacks training (and lacks courtesy). Should not complain about Agoda customers who booked last minute in front of the said customer. However, the male staff on duty during the evening was pretty friendly and helpful.
The good:
If you managed to get the 2 bedroom apartment for RM250 or less, it is not a bad place to stay if you are on a budget. The apartment is huge, the bathrooms were recently done-up so in much better condition than the apartment. Bring some extra linens if you have to take an additional bed because the extra bed provided was pathetic. There is a pool for the kids, the beach area is really big, so you won't be bothered by the trash if you stay at the far side. Just don't have breakfast there.
