Nice clean beach
Very friendly and helpful staff Hotel condition may need some refurbishment A comfortable hotel with nice clean beach. The white sand flat out beach provides a perfect beach for sand castle building, kite flying and water sports activities you ever need from a beach hotel. Though it may not look new or modern, it's a comfortable and cosy hotel complete with the necessary facilities for a relaxable holiday.

Beautiful beach Plentiful of breeze The pillows are uncomfortable After a long day at the beach and a nice shower. Take a break at their restaurant good Food. Walk the beach after dinner then go back to room. Sleep. Lie down and the pillows are so uncomfortable

An excellent breakfast spread with both Asian and Western food choices.
Serive levels were very high. Terribly noisy due to the use of tiles throughout the corridors and rooms.
The Pub has a band that played until 2am and was so loud that it kept us awake depite being four floors above the Pub.
No drink service at at the poolside area, despite being touted as a 'resort'. This was an overnight stay for my family as we travelled around Malaysia. Regrettably, I can not recommend staying at this resort if you intend to have either a relaxing or quite time. So many aspects of this resort made for an incredibly noisy stay, not least being the band in The Pub, situated directly below guest rooms, that belted out very loud music to 2am. The corridors are all tiled rather than carpeted, which also makes for noise to enter rooms from passing trollies, bags and people. The staff were very friendly and service levels were high across the resort. The rooms were neat and tidy, although the garden view rooms are getting dated as our bathroom had moulod and dirty walls. The lack of a stocked bar fridge also detracted from its 'resort' status. The pool at first seems to be a good size, but it still becomes crowded when many dozens of guest descend upon it after check-in. The beach location is good, but there is not much else around in the local vicinity.

Great location,great rooms, excellent staff Reservation was made, and check in was very simple, room was excellent, great sea views, overlooking the pool and ocean front. Buffet Saturday night dinner was great, excellent choices we sat outside on a beautiful deck, excellent service, very attentive wait staff. And Reasonable price, especially for a 4 star resort, no gouging. There is a rustic beach bar called \Sunday Bar, approximately 200 meters from the hotel, cheap beer, great large video monitors and friendly one owner one man staff. The beach is sandy, swimming, well dirty sandy turbulant water, not recommended, us the hotel pool, its wonderful.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Turtle Conservation operation a one hour bus ride north. Turtles lay there eggs on the beach, the hatchery collects the eggs and protects them, allowing the baby turtles to incubate, hatch, and develop, before releasing them.

The room are very comfortable and useful. Swimming pool are very clean. The customer service is the best thing that i have when i stay here. Only the checkin with 3:00PM but when check out have to be 12:00am. This thing that i think unacceptable.
The wifi internet are only can see but can't use because it very slow.
The Jacuzzi is very dirty. because everybody just going to there. When you go to this hotel the first thing that you have to do is go to the check in counter. Because if you come on sat-sunday. There are a lot of people coming for checkin.
Next thing that you must come to there aroun 3:00PM because the process of this hotel to check in are around half and hour. So you will got the free time to do anything in this hotel arond 4:00PM.
If you coming with group , you can ask them for the party at the beach. They will have Buffet for seafood on the beach.It very nice. I
This hotel are have a lot of foreigner here. There are a few of the local people. I think it depend on the price rate on this hotel too.
Hotel Feature Tip : If you want to drink alcohol and didn't buy the ice.
Nvm. This hotel are serve ice to you room free , no charge and they serve you 24 hours !!!

The hotel has a very nice Chinese Restaurant with friendly staff. The mattress is not firm enough. Maybe they could improve on that. Me and my family love simply love beaches. We will usually find a nice beach hotel and have our holidays there. Swiss Garden Kuantan has a very nice beach front. It has a sandy beach and it is also clean. The hotel also has a nice Chinese Restaurant with good dim sum and friendly staff.
Travel tip : The chinese restaurant has a interesting promotion going on. Senior citizens can eat as much as they want from a menu of 30 - 50 dishes for on RM23.00. What a deal!

Staff service was excellent. Only hotel to consider when in Kuantan. Refurbished Hotel Lobby is windy and spacious. There's also piano performance at night where you can sit around and relax. The games, floats and balls available at the pool require a rental fees of RM5. The pool bar is situated outside the pool area, more accessible to the beach. The Chinese Restaurant has great promotional offer, a set dinner for 5 pax was more than enough and cost RM110 only.
Shopping Tip : A new shopping complex - EC Mall. Fantastic food outlets and shoppin - love the donuts, and Black Canyon restaurant.

Good beach, restaurant, room Kids playground didn't have much We were at Swiss Garden Kuantan in June 2009. Rooms were newly furbished making it a pleasant stay. The beach was easily accessable & suitable for kite flying. Lots of shells on the beach. The hotel had a small booth for the Turtle Sanctuary Cherating so we had the opportunity to release 1 week old baby turtles into the sea! The hotel had a food promo which was simply FABOULOUS. The buffet was wide spread & local dishes were 'kampung' dishes which are not commonly found in hotels & they tasted like home-cooked food.

Good Chinese Restaurant with good food at reasonable prices Regular Maintenance of air con, toilet CR flush and basin stopper not working We booked 2 "SEA VIEW" deluxe rooms but was given a pool view instead on the 1st floor. We arrived at 2.15pm but was told that only 1 room was ready and that we have to wait another 40 mins for the other room. The CR flush in the toilet does not stop flushing once you pull the flush, water keeps flowing, The basin stopper cannot be released, the air con in 1 of the room is not working and the room is smelly (heavy cigarette smell) and after repeated calls to room service and after 45 mins then we get someone to spray some scent.

2) Flies at the breakfast table Our first trip to Swiss Garden and we will definitely want to come back. The rooms are clean and breakfast spread is good. However, the flies at the breakfast table are very irritating to us. Having lunch at the Parrot Bar with the cooling afternoon breeze is spectacular. Staff are courteous and friendly. Overall we had great fun.
Restaurant Tip : Should take a short drive to Chukai town for their famous stuffed crabs.

lovely beach, quite shady, lots of hermit crabs.
Friendly staff, the staff at he brakfast buffet was esp helpful and friendly despite the large crowd. people smoking in the lobby. The lobby should be non smoking.
The hotel is located on Pantai Balok,not too far away from Kuantan town. There were lots of guests as it was the Malaysian school holidays. We were unable to get towels from the pool counter on 2 consecutive evenings depsite having towel chits which clearly stated that only one towel per chit. On both occasions the person in charge of towels wasn't very helpful. We weren't the only ones affected- there were other families too who were not given towels. Seeing that this was peak season, I feel that the management should ensure that there are adequate number of towels for guests.
Parking too was full on Satuday night after 12 midninght. Again, we occupied 2 rooms but brought only one car. While it is expected for the parking lots to be full in the evening, most restaurants are closed by midnight. Management should ensure that there are adequate parking lots- one per room, ideally.
Concierge service was excellent. Courteous and Efficient despite the large crowd. Queuing system for checking in and checking out can be improved. Again a management issue. The staff were very good.
All in all, a lovely place to relax and unwind but best avoided during school holidays.
Restaurant Tip : Pak Su seafood restaurant. A bit pricey but the food is good.

a beautiful hotel,although quite far from town still manage to give a good service,check in/check out properly done although we are locals parking place not enough, breakfast not much choices, chidren amenities not much to my kids interest i wish to come back again due to beautiful beach, a place for every family to have their holiday.Safety preserved,after all we can let your kids to go inside deep to the sea as far as 50m with only one foot deep is good for any kids to make as their own playground.Another thig, you can have a wargame, the paintball,quite reasonable price, and also boat trip along the beach as far as 1km away from the beach..enjoyable and something to remember for a holiday like this....

Hotel is beautiful with a nice swimming pool. Service was relatively good. Food was ok. The beach is rather dirty. It was cleaner 5 years ago. There are loads of flies in the hotel area. Perhaps it is because it's located at the beach? I would suggest travellers to take up the sea view instead of the garden view rooms. The thing I love about this hotel is the balconies. With the sea view, I believe that travellers could actually enjoy the sunrise scene in the morning at the comfort of your own room. Aside from this, I love the restaurant settings by the poolside. It's great and cosy. However, the flies are quite annoying. I wonder if it is the season of flies.
