Nice Resort
Nice, relax and suitable for family with children

The resort is very suitable for family with children and many activities within the resort. The bed room suite is nice and with room rate we paid is very reasonable. The night buffet is very expensive and not advisable to have the buffet dinner at the resort as it cost about RM50+ per person and the food is very limited and poor as almost 80% you will be able to see all employees are foreigners. The worse part that made us very unconfortable with the stay is we have experienced that when the first day we checked in we saw the bedsheet was dirty as it has stain and also foot print mark on the bedsheet. As we are extremely tired after a long hours travel and we avoid to use the dirty bed until next day we request the housekeeping to change the bedsheet. What happened was a local male staff went up stair and changed the bedsheet and after he has finished and I went up to check and found that the stain and the foot print mark was still there and we reliased that the housekeeper didn't changed the dirty bedsheet to the new one and just simply turn the bed position from head to tail. Immediately we requested the housekeeping service again and we have to witness the same guy change the bedsheet in front of us. The resort should improve the housekeeping service and should ensure the hygine quality of the room provide to the customer. We have lodged complained to the front desk and we really hope that she will take a serious investigation and action against such a poor service. What if the dirty bedsheet with the stain that would has any bateria infection to the new customer exspecially children stay?
Nightlife Tip:
Easy to access to beach at night time with the shuttle bus service.

- do take note, the taxi cost from the terminal bandar penawar is rm10. they will make up stories to charge extra rm5 to reach the lobby instead of just the gate.
dont worry, just tell them to drop at the gates because there will be regular hotel buggy cart service to ferry you to hotel and lobby

Great place. Suggest to also check the amenities in the room. Some are not working (eg telephone), small issue but points to improve

Good Hotel With Acceptable Room Size.

This is my first time staying in this hotel. Overall the facilities in the hotel are quite comprehensive with 2 swimming pools and few children playground. It's located closely to the beach. However, the interior of the room aircon was leaking and a bit worn-out, renovation is needed especially for the water pipe and aircons. In overall good service and one of the better hotel in Malaysia which my Family enjoy staying.

Good location for family holidays, especially for young children. The water slides is fun. Too crowded during breakfast (group visit, family days)resulting chaos (not enough food, seating, etc ...)

it can be very crowded on weekends but too quiet on weekdays.This place is great for team building activities.The beach is great with activities like parasailing,bananaboat n atv but its a bit pricey.clean beaches n the water park is ok for the kids.Room wise is acceptable for the price but food is expensive.Tram shuttle service is a plus as the resort is big.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
fire fly cruise n fruit farm which is abt 10 min drive frm the resort.try the seafood at floating restaurant firefly cruise.

Good and Bad experience.

I stayed only a day with my family with 3 kids. Firstly, this is the best desaru resort ever to be in.
All the goodies there. The no good things- the pipe of my room will shake everytime I shower. So noisy.
Second- paid for internet but not working. Called up the operator, pass and pass to others and cant do anything about it. No wifi, cant do my work! However got my money $10 back. The paintball info state giving 20 extra ball but never say the time. When asked they said 5.30pm to 6pm only. Water sport too expensive! If its cheaper, many would want to try! Waterpark, look nice but actually not so great. One slide only. The handband cant be throw away, must be use again the next day. Kiddy ride $2 ringgit? Outside only $0.50. Please double check on any promotion stated anywhere. Theres always a catch! Breakfast very crowded. Food average. Overall, good for kids to have fun.
