Superbe location in a beatiful bay. Very nice accomodation, especially those in the beach front, just steps away form the Sea. Clean structure. Nevertheless, restaurant is expensive compared to the other resort, which provide good foood at lower price. The wooden bridge connecting to the rest of the island could be fixed, since it is dangerous in the nighttime.
Location wonderful, clean accomodations
poor staff performance solving a problem with credit card. Expensive food at restaurant, though tasty.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Watch the marine turtles in the P.I.R. harbour! You don't need to participate in snorkelling tours, just go snorkelling on your own in the harbour and enjoy watching the turtles.

It is a pity that a so well located resort has to be managed by so unprofessional and nasty people. The personel doesn't help at all and if possible creates difficulties(for example the check-out at the same time of the boat to kuala besut). My firm advice is to go somewhere else, the islands and plenty of resorts to go.
the beach
Unprofessional managment, food of low quality and too expensive.

We had a wonderful stay at the Perhentian Island Resort, the resort is situated in the best beach of the island, the white sand, the turtels are right there as is the beautiful house reef.
The Diving and snorkling school is excellent, the people are very friendly and very professional. One of the best snorkling and diving spots I have ever visited.
A 10 plus!!!!!
Great spot, best beach of the island, lovely quiet bungalows, sea view. great staff.
Cannot think of anything, we would love to go back!
- Restaurant Tip : a 10 minutes walk takes you to another beach with some more restaurants with all different kind of lovely food.

There's a short cut road (stairs along the beach) between PSI to Coral View Resort. You will find a totally different living style on the island.

Overall, I'm glad that I have picked this resort because I think Cocohut Chalet on the other side is worse (since the rest of my family is staying there). But Tuna Bay looks nice! Only stay in PIR if you love to be at the beach all day long.
- Travel tip : If you want to go to the other side, you can take water taxi (cost you around RM7/way) but if you like hiking, you can walk towards Coral Island Resort (walk the wooden stairs), walk along the beach (which has a lot of restaurants with nicer food), up the hill (follow the pipeline) and you will find an on going chalet development site (might finished by now, I went in April 2008) and you will reach Cocohut, Tuna Bay, etc.
