we only booked this hotel because the rest of th hotels at the genting resort were full.
pros are: room includes breakfast, free shuttle to the highlands and comfortable rooms.
what we didn't like are 1) when we arrived at 430pm, room is not yet ready. when we asked, receptionist just said they were fully booked last night, but somehow we felt that is not our problem, it is the hotel's problem for not utilizing their staff rightly. 2) no free wifi at the hotel, we have to pay an expensive fee.

Value for your money hotel.
Great buffet and daily shuttle service.

The room my friends and I rented was a deluxe room, it was quite big for the reasonable price they offered. The room had 2 queen bed. However, the bathroom needs to be looked into because the bathtub doesn't work. All in all I will give the hotel a 8 out of 10.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel has a free shuttle service. Inquire at the front desk for the schedule of shuttle service. Also, if you are travelling via bus going to Genting Highlands from Singapore but the drop off point is in the First World hotel the shuttle service is also available going to Awana. Call beforehand to inquire about the schedule of shuttle service.

Got a special price to stay here. Went with my Mum and two young kids. I Liked the rooms. They were big. The staff were friendly. The pool was nice.
One thing about the rooms - they were old though; but not too bad. The hotel claims running a shuttle to and from the First World Hotel (where all the eateries, rides, casinos, etc. are), which is true. But be assured that you'll not get a place in that bus. It is always full. So be prepared for a RM 40 to RM 60 expense per trip between Awana and Firstworld by taxi if you are travelling with young kids.

Hotel worth going with young kids
V good service from the hotel and the breakfast included was fabulous.

the rooms were clean and spacious, and we had a good view of the golf course. the hotel staffs were v polite and helpful, and knowledgeable and we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
the buffet breakfast spread was good, and we had enjoyed have our relaxing time in awana hotel.
will definitely go back for another stay.

Hotel with a good nature view
Alternative compared to those hotels on Genting Highland

The room was neatly arranged with a attached balcony for better view. The TV reception quality was rather poor with frequent distortion and no cablt tv channels available.
The buffet breakfast provided was infused with malay cuisines and western style breakfast. It wasn't very delicious but adequate to fill up your tummy.
Hotel provide shuttle bus up to Genting Highland or Midway cable-car station.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The cable car experience was pretty good as it travel through the midst of jungle.

Nice retreat resort
Nice place for retreat with nice balcony in the room, available free shuttle to other near location every hour

nice retreat resort hotel. efficient check in/out. spacious room with cute balcony with the refreshing view. nice breakfast. a free shuttle bus to nearby location is the other + point. a leaking for the water tap and don't know why my room is the only room on that level who didn't get newspaper, not a big deal.
