Far out in the jungle, not convenient staying
Nature lovers would love this hotel because it's in the jungle, there's a waterfall besides the hotel. The strawberry and organic veggies farm is only 2 km. away.

The first day I stayed in the one bed room condominium type. The room was spacious but it was so musty and moldy. Everything was old, the furnitures were not clean. It was also extremely smelly. I had to use the inhaler when sleeping. At first I asked the reception when I checked in to stay in the 1st room for the 2nd night. (Since my bookings are 2 seperate ones and different room types) Fortunately, she didn't let me.
So the 2nd night, I moved to the deluxe room and it was way better than the condominium one. The room was spacious, everything looks cleaner and better.
However, the wifi is only available in the hotel lobby. After came back from travelling, If you want to use the internet then you have to only stay at the lobby. There's also a swimming pool though,but the close time is too early (7 pm).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you want to stay in the real Genting Highland (In the properties where there are casinos, theme parks, and shopping complex), where the weather is nice and cool all year round. You'd better choose the First World Hotel. If you stay out of the Genting then you have to either take the free shuttle bus (which only have 9 am, 3 pm and 6 pm schedule to go, and 4 pm , 7 pm and sth to come back) or take the taxi which is quite expensive. Since they don't use the meter. So be sure to bargain before you get on.

A Big Let Down

I would say that this hotel is absolutely NOT for couple with young children and theme park lovers. This hotel is situated at the foot of Genting so you need to travel about 20mins to the steep top. As for the rooms, its big but its a run down. Need a massive refurbishment. The entrance to the hotel is eerie and 'spooky'(as my daughter says). The security left to be desired as my room was intruded through the inter-connecting door in the midnight. That was a terrifying experience for my family.
Travel tip:
Your vehicle must be in super top condition and pls bring your spare keys.

Great getaway, although secluded

I booked this place rather last minute, literally one day before arriving in Genting.
I made the mistake of not realising that Genting View Resort is no where close to Resorts World, which is the key attraction of Genting. It takes about a 10 minute shuttle bus followed by a 25 minute cable car ride to reach there. Furthermore, the shuttle bus only operates three times a day - 9am, 3pm and 6pm, so if you miss these timings you are pretty much stranded at the hotel for the rest of the day.
The place is old but reasonably maintained. There is a fair amount of facilities - an outdoor heated pool (although I did not try this personally), various sports facilities and large areas just to walk around and enjoy the fresh air.
Definitely a place more suitable for people who wish to stay within the resort the entire time and just relax there. Not so good for accessibility, unless driving on your own.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Good getaway for individuals or couples who want to relax, isolated, for some time. Also suitable for large groups/company retreats as you can arrange with the hotel management to have more in-house activities for entertainment. Not many food options though.

Good location apartment for family gathering
Having cooking facility to cook.

we had enjoyed stay there with whole family. The apartment quite spacious.
The only problem is, morning the water heater not functioning and all of end up to bath in cold water.
Restaurant Tip:
Those whom vegetarian, there is Indian shop whom can provide you vegetarian food. Just drive 5 minutes away from this hotel.
