The location of the hotel was great - easy walking distance to a number of attractions, bars and restaurants.
The breakfast was fantastic and for the competitive price, this has to be the best hotel within this price range.
Although Excelsior Hotel is old, the rooms were very good and quite clean. The 14” TV should upgrade to LCD. The location of the hotel was great - easy walking distance to a number of attractions, bars and restaurants.

Overall an excellent stay for the price.

The breakfast was good, many choices to choose from. Hot water from room was real hot and it was clean. Even though this hotel is old, but then there's renovation and definitely a good place to stay in. Very strategic place as opposite you will see food court & some banks. We just traveled by walking as the place is near to town. We requested for a king size bed, but they ended up giving us 2 queen size beds sticking as though like a king size.

Good location situated in the down-town area. Most suitable for someone who wants a couple of nights stay and not too concern of small room and bathroom size.
Good 3 stars hotel and good value for money. Room is clean and with reasonable size bathroom.
Front entrance lacks car parking space. Not accessible ram for wheeling baggages to reception area.
- Restaurant Tip : Walking distance to good restuarants and local shops. Ipoh has the best Chinese local food.
