Old hotel but rooms are ok

Old hotel but nice rooms. Staff was friendly. Parking was ok. Conveniently located in the middle of the city. Breakfast was so-so. Went during peak season, coffee house was full, we couldnt find a table, so we sat at the lounge to have our breakfast. Food was so-so. Burnt noodle. Buffet station was not refilled. No swimming pool.

Spacious and neat room

Thumbs up for the room size and cleanliness. Not to mention the wifi signal here is good and stable.
Just an unpleasant experience to share, the reception and house keeping unit's response was slow. I've demanded to change the malfunction kettle and it took them 3 hours to get things right, of course it's after my second call reminder.

We checked in on a Thurday afternoon. Upon entering the room, we realised that we have forgoten to ask for password for access to the hotel WiFi, upon ringing up the hotel receptionist, she has immediately arranged for a messenger to deliver it to us within minutes. We are impressed with the nice service. On the day of checking out, we were stucked in the town traffice, after making a call back to the hotel, a gentleman has immediately arranged for extention of 1 hour for our check out time. Thanks again to all the hotel staffs for the attentive and friendly service.

Overall I would rate this hotel as moderate. Nothing much to complain about. All basic needs are fulfilled, staffs were very helpful, but there was very little outdoor parking space. Would be perfect for someone traveling alone and needs a place to crash for the night. For family trips however, not so recommended.

old hotel but rooms were renovated with wood flooring. breakfast is quite good. only downside is no taxi available but if you have transport, its ok.
Restaurant Tip:
Look for bean sprouts chicken rice, traditional biscuits, pomelo (kind of citrus fruit), curry noodles, white coffee, dim sum etc. Its a foodie place.

The hotel is centrally located and the rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast provided is delicious and there is variety in the food provided. Service provided by hotel staff is pleasant, courteous, and friendly. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to other travellers. Keep up the good image that you have created.

Very clean and relaxing stay. The service provided by the staff was very courteous, helpful, and there was always a smile. The breakfast was stupendous and I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers. On top of all these the price is very reasonable and the hotel is centrally located abd close to all the tourist spots and food outlets around Ipoh. Great hotel with good and friendly staff.
