Rooms are quite run down, breakfast is very basic

walk in rates was cheaper than agoda online rates. Check their promotions. Walk-in Promotion for June was Rm100 but Agoda rates was RM130.
Bed was slanting thus not a very nice sleep.
The Chinese Tim Sum restaurant is good. Breakfast till lunch only

Comfort bed but smelly carpet

The room size quiet ok..the bed also comfortable.But the carpet a bit smelly..the water pressure also lower than usual hotel.Because of i'm travel alone and not spending so much time in the room i don't complaint so much,but will think twice if i bring family here. After 12 midnight,only one lift working.Have to wait 5 to 10 mins to came up. The breakfast is ok in term of food and services.
Restaurant Tip:
easy to find food. Just in front of the hotel, cross the road have a food stall, nice environment.

a bit far from town and no free transport provided. Not easy to get taxi. But a nice quiet place facing beautiful hills. got a temple right opposite. Spa is quiet spacious and nice with massages and extra. Some locals stay in the next condominium. There is a jogging path around the place. Walking distance to some limited local food.
room is average, bed is not new but still comfortable. bath tub is dirty after years of use so I only soak for a short while only.
need to turn on water heater for 20 minutes before using hot water.
Travel tip:
If you drive then this is quite an ok place to stay.
Behind the hotel are factories that fix cars so it is a great place to send your car for major fix while going to spa or stay for one night depends on how long your major fix take.

a public garden in front of the hotel good for a walking exercise during the evening

it is rather old hotel with old furniture and less maintenance.
do not expect too much with the price that we pay for.
a attractive promotion during the normal day.
selling points for the hotel :
1. good for the dim sum lover as there is a restaurant next to it.
2. consider a convenient place for those staying nearby, eg. gunung rapat, jln kampar etc.
the management needs to maintain all the facilities as there are many options in ipoh nowadays.

run down & odour

Hotel room and lift run down, high time to change and up lift. Charging customers for that type of run down and bad ventilation deluxe room is unreasonable.As soon as you move up to 1st floor n above odour from the kitchen,also when you open up the room window.
Breakfast, as I can see and feel is prepared out of mandatory not with dedication. Table cloth at the coffee house balcony wrinkle and too long. And again run down.
