The Pulai Desaru Beach Resort was a lovely place. The pool was gorgeous and the grounds were beautiful. There was a water slide, a playground and a kids club for our kids to enjoy, as well as some rabbits for her to play with. The food was good and the prices were not too bad for a place in the middle of no where! The only con is that there is not much to do if you are looking for a town and night life, shopping, etc. Although if you just want to relax on the beach or by the pool this is your place. We had a great time for a few nights with our kids!

The hotel provides superb destination for both very nice and clean sandy beach as well as very nice pools for family with toddlers and kids. Children got occupied with various activities ranging from table tennis, billiard, ball games in the pool and by the beach, and little train by the sea side. The sea water is reasonably clean for swimming.However the hotel can be cleaner (the carpet) and the furniture better maintained.

The ground floor sea view unit is superb for family with little kids wandering between hotel and the sandy beach; The pool is nice and superb for toddlers and kids. Games and children corner are good for family with kids

The hotel should be kept in better form to fulfill its status as 3.5-4 stars hotel (the bathroom's door is rather run down); Pool maintenance should be kept up more properly as one of the underwater lamps kept popping out and float on the surface. Choice for restaurants is limited. It will be nice if a chinese restaurant is available. The quality of the breakfast requires upgrading. It will be great if there is a little convenient shop.

• Nightlife Tip : We enjoy playing billiard, ping pong and dart We would like to try the BBQ by the beach on our next visit. In general we enjoy our stay here!

The Pulai Desaru Beach Hotel is really a great resort place. The scenery is so beatiful, and the facilities are so good. The sea view room is perfect. I like to play the card, drink the coffee with my wife in the balcony. I also like the swimming pool, the beach very much. The breakfast is also very good. It's really a unforgetable journey to this hotel. Definitely I will go again soon.

The only weakness of the hotel is the food in restaurant is not so suitable for us Chinese people.

The resort was one of the better ones in Desaru, easily accessible from Singapore by ferry and resort coach transfer. The rooms were clean and very spacious. There was a little kitchen sink with a water boiler and fridge. The bathroom was also big, with a bath-tub and a separate shower cubicle. The washbasin was outside toilet and had a large vanity tabletop. The buffet beakfast was decent, but very crowded during the weekend. The Pulai Spa offered good quality service on location at the resort.

It is the nearest resort with great setting just a couple of hours drive from Singapore and a great weekend get away from the city state. I will most certainly recommend to couple with young family or lovers to enjoy such a beautiful resort without breaking the bank with affordable accomodation and facilities.

I have stayed at this hotel for the fourth time already and really enjoyed my holiday. The activities available is family friendly. The room is spacious and housekeeping are commendable. The surrounding around the hotel gave me a very relaxed feeling during my stay plus lots of recreations within a short drive from the hotel.

Not I have notice any shortcoming yet.

• Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The beach is beautiful with soothing waves crashing on the shore that gave the therapuetic effect for stressful working adult to get away from city life.

Overall it was a pleasant stay at this hotel and pretty much value for money.
