Average stay but some works need to be done

Checked in on a Friday night to the normal deluxe room which was stuffy but still relatively clean. Air-con didn't work well, the room was still very warm after 30mins. Bedsheets were quite "rough". TV reception was poor so every channel we switched to is not that clear. Toilet does not have ventilation vent so if you enjoy warm to hot showers it is going to be very stuffy in the bathroom. The heater also produces some buzzing sound when in use which is very annoying. No separation between shower area and toilet bowl/sink area hence expect whole toilet to be wet. We called the front desk to report about the under-powered aircon and the staff came by about 20 min later to check on it. She offered a change of room and but the air-con was equally bad. Eventually she prepared a room at Level 1 for us. Air-con works fine throughout the stay, TV is clearer but reception could be better, bathroom was smaller but heater works ok now. Clothes hangers are missing even though there were 8 in the previous room. The phone and light switches are also fixed above the bed rest for the two rooms which is quite a hassle if you are in bed and lazy to get up to turn on/off the lights.
Since it is a boutique hotel, some efforts were made in doing up the decor, with the facade in a colourful pink and purple, velvety sofas at the reception, painted murals on the wall for different rooms and different lightings fixed to go according to the theme of the room. More could be done in the maintenance of the facilities as it would really stand out from the rest of the hotels nearby at an affordable price.

Nice hotel, but room without windows

No problems to report. Staff were helpful, room was clean and the free internet worked. One point, I wasn't aware when I booked that the room was an internal one without windows. This did mean it was very quiet, and the room didn't smell mouldy or damp which is often the case with this type of room. The breakfast tasted good, but was a little limited with the hot selections (just fried rice, fried noodles, soup, soft boiled egg - well, maybe not so bad
