Great location for travelers to/from Singapore.
Very nice staff.
Last time I chose Deluxe rooms, very old bathtub, smelly. This time I chose Imperial Deluxe, only a few dollars more, but rooms are way better.

The hotel is well located
It is in need of renovation (stained carpets, bathtubs).
Definitely not a 5- or even a 4-star hotel. It is well located but that’s about it. This hotel has not been well maintained. The carpet is stained and looks shabby in the rooms as well as in the hallways. Non-smoking rooms smell of smoke. I saw 3 rooms before I was allocated one which appeared slightly better but turned out to have problems as well. The staff were trying to be helpful but there was not much they could do. I was told the hotel was to be renovated soon. I certainly would not recommend this hotel to anyone before its renovation.

Personnel, breakfast, spa
Smoking inside the hotel, not nice city
I stayed 2 nights in this hotel in January 2009. Temperature was nice, hotel itself was nice, so was food served. Also tried massages at the spa, it was nice (but do not go on Sunday when it is busy, try weekdays). Tried to go to the restaurant next to the spa but could not due to bad smoke smell. Did not like the city; I came from Singapore and Johor Bahru was quite different; a lot dirtier, scarier etc.
Hotel Feature Tip : not much to see, hotel spa was nice
