This is an excellent business hotel in an ideal central location of JB. Good shopping, banking and restaurants are just outside the hotel front door. The spacious lobby is very welcoming and the adjacent coffee shop/restaurant is good and quick. The upstairs bar had a very good Filippino band when I was there.

Great location. Good service.

Noisy rooms if you are facing south - the adjacent Mosque gets going at 5.00am.

• Hotel Feature Tip : Avoid rooms near the lift well - very noisy. Also avoid south facing rooms to escape the early morning call to worship!

Nice Hotel for Singapore Guest Rating: 3.5

I was here in Oct 2008 for business. I used to stay in Singapore, but similar hotels in Singapore will cost twice the price or more. So next time you're planning a trip to Singapore, you might want to try this hotel.

Great location, 10 mins walk to Causeway Checkpoint.

Previous reviews gave me a good and accurate picture of this hotel and that's why I chose to stay there. Do hope the hotel's announced renovation proceed as planned so I won't have any hesitation to revisit next time I go to JB.

Next to downtown Johor Bahru and convention centre. Staff are friendly and enthusiastic. Room was clean when we checked-in and subsequent cleaning up was good. Surprised with free mini bar - no alcohol of course. Breakfast plentiful with wide variety - coffee nice and strong.

My room was a bit run down with torn shower line, mattress with spring pricking my back. The check-in process unusually long.

• Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There are three temples of different religions within easy walking distance: Chinese Buddhist, Muslim and Hindu. There's the park and a castle 'Istana Besar' right opposite the hotel.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel because of it's fine service. The staff were very helpful and accomodating, all the while serving us graciously. Even when we desperately required the use of the reception's photocopy machine the staff kindly allowed us to do so, at no charge. Our requests were tended to immediately. The room was very satisfactory, and the breakfast buffet spread was huge. Overall definitely one of the better hotels we've stayed in in Malaysia.

The room was very cosy, bathroom was extremely nice and the food was very good. Both the breakfast and orders was very good. The customer service was of the highest standards. Location was very good, with city square being 5 minutes away. Facilities was also good. Although my stay was a very short one, it left be a very good impression and I wouldn't hesitate going back again to take a short break.

Fast and prompt with its customer service.

Price of food is slightly on the higher side.

• Shopping Tip : City Square - Has lots of restaurants and shopping outlets.. Spoilt for choice..

This was my family's second visit to the Puteri Pacfic Hotel in Johor Bahru and the service never failed to impress us. Everyone, ranging from the doorman to the receptionists, and the staff at the pool, gym and sauna facilties were very polite and friendly. We also enjoyed the complimentary food and drinks provided in the room. Moreover, the hotel's close proximity to the major shopping malls is another plus point as well. If the food and dining were a little less expensive at the hotel, we wounld not mind coming here again.

The service - the staff was very friendly and prompt. Pool and sauna facilities were very good as well. Room was quite spacious too.

The breakfast buffet was priced a little on the steep side

We didn't arrive until midnight on the first night and the staff were making phone calls to get us information for our trip to Singapore, the service stayed at that high level for all of our stay.
