Nice Hotel but a bit old

This was meant to stay for just a night before our drive up north of the country.
A simple and nice but old hotel. The hotel do look old but the rooms are still ok.
Staff service are ok but never offer to extend their hosipitality beside the normal service.
It is near to a shopping mall and a few eating places
Shopping Tip:
A short walk is to the City Square where you can do some shopping and have your meals there.

We like the Hotel as it is strategically located near the check point into Singapore.The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast buffet is average. The Hotel has other facilities that is helpful for people traveling into Singapore during the day and returning to Johor Bahru at night.The car parks can be further improved with better lighting.

The actual guest room does not look as new as the photos at the Agoda website. The carpet is extremely decolourised with spots. The TV belongs to the late 1990s.
Extremely tight with the mineral water bottles to the guests.
The room and toilet is spacious but it is really not that pleasant to stay.
The swimming pool is nice but tiny.
There is so much potential to this hotel and the brand name. The hotel spa has great facilities with about 10 rooms but only 1 or 2 therapist are at site working on a weekend, extremely unacceptable.

Nothing compelling about this hotel:
Parking is quite difficult in a multi-storey park around the bock from the main hotel entrance.
Rooms are a bit old and lack modern conveniences such as LCD tv, etc.
Attached shopping center is almost dead and not worth visiting. Surrounding area also quite run-down and uninteresting.
I didn't find a better hotel, but if you don't need to be in this particular part of town I would recommend looking for something elsewhere.

Its an old hotel but nice spacious rooms, view to swimming pool. Had a comfortable stay. Its close to JP central and also to immigration. The staff was v friendly. I reached hotel at 1000 am at the hotel, 4 hours earlier than check-in time and the reception gave me my room without any extra charge.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Close to immigration and JP central. Can take bus from JP Central to Johor Premium Oulet, house to branded outlets. If u r planning to travel in Singapore and looking for reasonable place to stay, its the hotel. If commuting to next door Singapore in mornings and evenings is not an issue...

i would like to go there again, I went with my friends it was located at a strategic location, convenient for all stuff..shopping,leisure,food,spa,sports. The staff made me feel so comfortable and wanting to come back.
