Good location good ambience

the hotel is situated right at the heart of johor bahru. the lobby is rather big and has a nice ambience. although the hotel is quite old, the room is quite big and comfortable, and the bathroom is quite clean.
the only complaints were:
1. the lifts really need an upgrade.
2. several times the key (using card access system) couldn't work. we had to go down several times to get the receptionist reset the card.
Shopping Tip:
There is a shortcut from the back of the hotel if you want to go to the City Square mall. The first day we went much longer route to go to the mall. The second day we found the shortcut.

Great staff and great room

We came in way before the check-in time and made enquiries whether it was possible to proceed with our check-in. Staff acceded to our request but advise us that he is not able to provide us with a king size bed unless we are prepared to wait. We did and he gave us a king size bed and a single bed for my 10yr old son!!!
We were impressed at the level of service and would definitely return for a next visit!!

Located right in the centre. However, facilities in the hotel as well as in the rooms not well maintained and quite old. Too crowded during check-in - a little disorganised. Nonetheless, the service staff in the cafe for breakfast were fast and polite. The same could not be said of the front office staff who made many wait for their rooms. They told us to wait at the side and did not bother to update us on our room status until they were reapproached - we were not the only ones, other guests too felt the same way.
The lobby was topsy turvy - more like a kampung - waiting guests did not have a conducive environment to sit at or wait for their rooms.

hotel staff nice and very helpful. facilities in the room poor, kettle very old and not hygiene at all. air-cond need to do the routine maintenance asap. in room dining a bit disappointed, asked the food no hot and spicy for my son but i get vice-versa. overall ok.tq

hotel is in great location. 5mins away from city sq. suite was spacious. breakfast wasn't that bad.
rooms are in need of updating. furnishings are pretty dated. tvs are old and comes accompanied with a video tape player! time to upgrade! bathroom was spacious but shower room glass door doesnt close properly which makes the bathroom floor all wet.
all in all, this is probably the best you can get in jb. good for a nights stay.

Should try the Tim Sum buffet located at the Hotel.

Hotel was decent although we did not get the bed arrangements that we wanted. They have a squash court there but have to pay a booking fee of RM20/hour not inclusive of racquet rental. Decent for the price range. Breakfast is not bad
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Near to an exhibition hall next to door. The JB furniture fair was on the weekend we were there
