Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

It's decent, at best.
The location, the staff and the little things.
7.7
The staff was amazing and the hotel was relatively close to the attractions in the area. The hotel, however, is in dire need of a refurbishment. It's not that the entire stay was uncomfortable (it's far from that actually), but it could've been better (or perfect even) if the rooms and the amenities were updated.

i was looking forward to having a nice hot bath, but the water was not hot enough which was a disappointment. the check out time was 12:00 so we didn't have to hurry off which was good. the other comments are above.

It was a good, short weekend getaway.
Good buffet dinner. Although aged, the fitness centre and equipments are functioning well. Close to bus terminal and shopping centre.
8.3
Initially just want to try out, it was a surprised find for a short weekend getaway. Like most of the Malaysian hotels, lack of maintenance is the drawback of a hotel older than 5 years. With the renovation going on now, that may make it to be glorious again.

Otherwise Pleasant Stay
Location was superb, within walking distance of fabulous food joints, shopping
7.7
It was alright except that part of the hotel was undergoing renovations and the main air-conditioning units were down and hence the whole hotel was stuffy.

Prime location in Johor Bahru but lacklustered
Good location and within reach of major shopping malls, near to the JB-Singapore taxi stand, ample parking, good breakfast spread.s

i have been a long standing patron to this hotel from the days it was under the pan-pacific chain to these days when it has become the puteri pacific. my latest stay was rather disappointing. the hotel has somehow lost its shine when maintenance for broken lamps, elevator button on the floor i stayed in, and extremely ineffective room air-condition show telltale signs of sluggish maintenance or cutting cost that trespasses into creature comforts expected from this establishment. i find it rather amusing that the hotel has closed off the hotel foyer for repairs and upgrading at a time when similar establishments would have decorated the public area with chinese new year decorations. the overall ambience was dull, quiet and uninteresting. i would probably chose another hotel the next time i visit johor bahru.
