Near to city square shopping area, walking distance to shopping and custom from singapore. We walk the entire stay in johore no cab needed, quite place and even we watch late night movie we walk back to hotel, just opposite city square. From custom we walk to hotel. All was good except late check in and they give us for late check out. All was good. Will come back for sure.

the room is comfortable, friendly staff and good location. The breakfast dining place (far end corner) is insufficient of ventilation. Not enough air & aircon. very warm. Been there a few times, no change.

Stayed for a night at JB as a friend and I had to attend a wedding. Was quite disappointed with our stay.
Check-in took like 20minutes and they told us that if we wanted 2 single beds they only had smoking rooms available, so we agreed on that.
Went to the room and the bathroom lights were not working!
Called up the operator and the lady asked us, "Have you notify the maintenance team??". Uhrmm...are we the ones who were actually working? Not professional at all.
Called again second time and they said they will send an engineer up shortly.
Windows looked like it hasn't been clean for years.
Probably the only best thing was the variety of breakfast but they can try to make it a point to replenish when a particular dish is running low and not when it's completely empty.

Old hotel that needed tone refurbished

initially, we were given a room type (lower grade) that was not according to our booking. the condition of the room is dirty. the front desk assistant had also forgotten to provide the complimentary parking coupon resulting bad service from the parking attendant. luckily, one of the staff able to change the correct room type for us and provided the parking coupon. the breakfast provided is the best feature throughout the stay. it offered wide varieties of food and the service was good.

the room is spacious enough for 3pax. great buffet line. next to persada convention centre which makes it easy for business visit.
Nightlife Tip:
Its about 10-15 mins walking distance to Bazar JB (night market ) where you can find goods such as clothing, bags and local food!

Fantastic location but rooms were a little rundown
The hotel was grand, big and spacious which translated into very well sized rooms. Comfortable living spaces and decor.

However, the rooms we're a little out dated and not maintained to a high standard which a 4-5 star hotel should. The bath tub we had was leaking and the room was dusty. Overall a good stay and very good value for money. Front desk personel were also professional.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Transit to Singapore via the Causeway is basically on the 'doorstep'. Dont hesitate to book this hotel if you are planning on travelling by public transport over to Singapore.

Great location and beds

We booked 4 rooms but did not manage to get connecting rooms. The hotel was fully booked and we managed to get one of the rooms upgraded to the imperial as the princess rooms were full. We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the comfortable beds there. Although some of the switches in the room did not work properly.

Quite old 5 start hotel, but is under renovation and hopefully it brings abetted experience next time.
For business traveller it will be good as it connect to the convention center.
