The location is great. At Danga Bay and not far from city center and the Second Link to Singapore. Many local food attractions in the vicinity. Road accessibility is also great.
The exterior of the hotel from the road was impressive. But when I got inside, the hotel was not up to my expectation. I thought it was a 5-star hotel so I looked forward to a nice room and facilities.
However, the room and the bathroom needs refurbishment in order to keep up with the times. The lighting needs to be improved too as the main room lighting were only 3 lampshades. Parking on ground level was always full, basement parking is available but dark and scary.

Great facilites but room bit dark

When we checked in many people and only 2 counters open, waiting quite some time..room given is not properly cleaned, but later upgrade to a deluxe room . Toilet is not really clean , water stuck .

The room of this hotel is really nice wiTh furniture that suit the color and concept...just the down point of this hotel is the condition of the bathroom...it was quite old and a bit dirty as it was not refurbished like the room and they just maintained what was there during last owner...it used to be hyatt regency and now change to thistle...the interior of the bathroom was the one during hyatt time and certainly didnt fit the modern concept of the room...

It was wonderful to be greeted by someone we called Tuan Sheh everytime we stayed at the hotel. He made us feel very in the "balik kampong" mode! My husband had to use the hotel phone to call me cos it would be captured by the Singapore wifi and the the hotel allowed this to be waived! One minor comment is to clean the shower cubicle wall a bit more.
