Near city,great breakfast,value for money,clean the hotel is near the city,the cost of staying in this hotel is cheap,breakfast is tasty,room is clean and tidy,room service is good,counter service improving.but i found few small cockroach in room and bathroom.even though i did not mind about it,but it is not a good sight.no more noisy kid playing prank anymore.staff in the counter not rude as i encountered last time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : walk down along the road,you can go to city square.hotel very near singapore bus terminal and airport bus terminal.

Clean, good value, nice views from high floors. morning breakfast not so good. A good hotel close to the new immigration complex, a few malls and a number of restaurants. Good location for those who will catch a morning train to KL or Penang. Rooms are big and clean and high floors have good views of JB. Not too much to do in the hotel itself but malls are a short walk away.

Well priced and very well positioned relative to the airport and Singapore bus station. Good quality rooms for the price. Breakfast part of the cost but of very poor quality for those who enjoy breakfast. If a prestigious hotel is not required this is a very good compromise.
Travel tip : There are no ATMs at or near the hotel.

Central situated - clean - nice staff - rooms are small - no pool We went to JB to get a new visa for Indonesia. Since there is a Indonesian consulate in JB were we had never been, we decided to book a hotel in JB near the consulate. On the Agoda website we found the Tropical Inn. The hotel is 25 years old, but it was a very good choise for the things we wanted to do in JB. The hotel is clean and staff was friendly and the breakfast was good! The hotel is vey central situated, near the shopping centres and of course the consulaat. Best way to move around JB is by taxi, since it is a big city. The Indonesian consulate is on the premisis of the old palace situated in a beautiful garden! Very nice!
Shopping Tip : Big malls are on walking distance.

Very near immigration. Room is big. Reasonable room rate. Don't expect much on the breakfast. Tropical Inn is one of the oldest hotel in JB. It is very near and walking distance to JB causeway to Singapore. A lot of eatery shops around to fill your tummy but not big shopping mall for ladies to shop. This is a hotel suitable for business travelers who just need to stay a night or two. Not suitable for family vocations for you to enjoy the facilities. However this hotel is very convenience if you are in transit to Singapore.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : This hotel is only 5 minutes away from the bus terminal. Easy to go to the airport or singapore. Its a very good location in jb to walk to shopping centers and you can easily walk to immigration. Suggest this place.
