Probabaly one of the better hotels in Kota Bharu, Clean, friendly quite a nice pool overlooking the river. Only stayed for one night as most people do for a stop over.
Quite old fashioned decor
Bedding did not smell fresh
We, like most visitors, stayed at The Grand Riverview for a night only as a stop over before heading to the Perhentian Islands. The town itself is not much of an exciting destination in the evening, but there are some things to see and do in the day.
The hotle itself has old fashioned decor, but it is kept clean. The bathroom was actually modern and again, very clean.
The service was friendly and we ordered some food from the main restaurant which was very good. There is a large selection of food at the breakfast buffet, which again was good.
Our room overlooked the river. The rooms are large and the hotel in general is large and airy. The bed was comfortable, although the sheets did not feel as clean as they could be!
Overall a pleasant one night stay and good value for money.
Hotel Feature Tip : If you order something to your room and pay there and then make sure the servicer signs the receipt. The receipt itself does not indicate to the reception staff yoou have paid and can delay your check out!!

Perhaps wifi in the room in the future.
The room is well maintained. Facilities commensurate with its status. Walkway and lobby is spacious with ample sitting area. Good Wifi reception at the lobby. Overall good value for money and would definitely recommend anyone to stay there.
The buffet breakfast selection was moderate but having more variety on day to day basis would be wonderful especially if you are staying for more than 1 night. We had our breakfast there for 2 days.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Good base for traveling with the Jungle Train.
