location: good location, opposite a shop complex, many eateries around the hotel, most importantly, the sunday weekend market is just 3 minutes walk from the hotel.
room: very comfy bed, free wifi, clean, neat. rooms could be small at certain configuration, tv is the old fashion kind of tv. overall it is ok with the money you pay for the room. well worth it.
f&b: they have a restaurant with bar at the lobby, it is the same venue for breakfast in the morning. breakfast with simple varieties, but amble quantity.
service: staff at the reception speak simple english, but always willing to help and accommodative yet friendly. they have a tour desk at the lobby, that you help you with local interests arrangement (sightseeing, island hops etc)
overall, im satisfied with the amount of money paid for my stay with this hotel. give it a try people...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Sabah is a nature's paradise blessed with friendly people, beautiful islands and a rich tropical forests. This hotel is just a 3-5 minutes drive away from the Jesselton Jetty, (of course you may walk, about 15-20 minutes) from there you may purchase tickets to hop to nearby islands (10-15 minutes speedboat ride). These up-spoilt islands are as beautiful as those in Maldives.

Hotel is well organized, staff at reception very friendly and fast processing the checki in and check out.
Location of the hotel is convenience for shopping as it is located in the middle of 2 shopping complexes namely Suria Sabah and Wisma Merdeka.
Furthermore it is only 5 minutes walk to places like Phillipine Market and Jesselton Point.

my stays in best western kinabalu daya hotel had been up to expectations overall. the cost of stay was low and basic hotel amenties were available for a short overnight stay. the environment was generally clean and no foul smell. reception was friendly and helpful. wifi access was smooth and easy to setup with good coverage in room. however, the television channels were very basic and reception on antenna was not very clear. but that's not a big problem if the purpose of stay was for less than 24 hours stay for a low budget.
