Hotel with free Wifi service. Location is also good, you can walk to habour by yourself to go to island. It is also close to car rental company for the car pick up.

Home from home when in Kota Kinabalu
Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast,
8
I always use the Best Western Kinabalu Daya Hotel when I visit Kota Kinabalu as the great location, friendly staff, and competitive pricing are all attractive. The hotel is mid-range and the rooms may be small but the above features and the homely atmosphere will have me return on each visit. In fact, there is a bit of tradition in my cohort of biologists of staying at the Daya - we all know what to expect and are comfortable with it.
Shopping Tip:
Wisma Merdeka across the road is a great place to start - Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has free WIFI and a visit to Borneo Books is a must.

Good location to see KK city.
location, family room size
7.7
Basic hotel with basic breakfast. Made to order eggs, waffles but not what you would get in a breakfast at a 4/5 star place. Good location to walk to the tourist site in KK city. Good pizza place next door if you want western food. Must eat at the night market. Karaoke bar adjacent to the lobby of the hotel. Didn't visit but made for a busy place in the evenings. Overall hotel is good value and would stay again. This is not a fancy place and the first impression was not good but after 3 days staying there, we were satisfied overall.
Restaurant Tip:
Good pizza next door. Eat at the night market by the Le Meridien. It's fun!

Great location but small rooms
7.3
Hardware of the hotel is very old, and the wifi internet access always crashed during 6:00pm ~ 9:00pm. As for the other, breakfast is reasonnable, and the room is really small.
Restaurant Tip:
Close by the hotel had a lot of good restaurant, Little Italy, Local chinese dishes, especially on Sunday morning 6:30am ~ 13:00pm will have walking market near the hotel.

Great location but a little noisy for me.
7
I really had an unpleasant experience staying at the hotel though it was only for a night. Little did I realise that the pub/bistro had loud live music right into the wee hours of the morning ( 1.30 am to be precise). The music probably stopped because I made couple of calls to the reception. Frankly it has a great location, value for money and has pleasant staff but its definately not a place for a great night sleep especially if you are making a business presentation the next day. Do insist that you want a room away from all the din.

Great location and clean rooms
7.7
Good service, value for money and great location. Walking distance to almost everywhere we wanted to go.
Famous Sin Kee bah kut teh - 1min walk
Suria Sabah mall - 10min walk
Jesselton point (jetty)- 15min-20min walk
Sinsuran night market - 15min walk
massage shop - 2min walk
7-11 - few shops away
There's also a bar downstairs, with pool table and TV.
Buffet breakfast was boring though, fried rice, fried mee, baked beans, hotdog, toast, cereal, pancakes/waffles, eggs. but it was free, so no complains.
Iron and hairdryer provided.
Nightlife Tip:
the night market in sinsuran (opposite Le Meridian Hotel) is an eye opener. visit if got the chance.
