Great location but small rooms

The hotel is clean but small. It is standard for 2 person to stay and just for relaxing and sleeping. The surrounding of the hotel has many shop and sunday market in the morning. it is easily to find the place to eat near the hotel area. Besides, the day market which sell the clothes and souvenir just infront of this De Galleria Hotel. So we can buy many things that we like anytime.

located on jalan sentosa, middle of kampung ayer. there is a night market in front of the hotel so access could be a problem if you are having lot of luggages and try to reach the hotel by car. lot of amenities nearby and within walking distant to gaya street and the bus station. room is small and clean, wifi only available at lobby but they do provide internet lan access in the hotel room. basically you get what you are paying, nothing more.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Bus stations is nearby and access could be a problem if you are taking a cab, since the front street is occupied with night market.

Centrally located budget hotel

KK was a transfer point for us during our recent travels, and this was our second stay in this hotel. The rooms are tiny, but comfortable and the hotel is close to the mini-van and long distance taxi stand. We were pleased that this room had a window (no view) so we could tell if it was day or night.

The room was quite small. It is fair price for a no-window room. The staff were nice. If I visit KK again next time, I will book this hotel again. But the wifi connection within the room is not good.
Restaurant Tip:
CFC City Food Coner provided good food with fair price.

our room was very small but worse of all was the fact the bathroom was tiny and the sliding glass door was very narrow. to get into the bathroom we had to enter sideways. neither of us are big but it was still a squeeze. people of a lager size would not be able to get into the bathroom. it was also difficult to use the wardrobe because the gap between it and the bed was very narrow.
no wifi in room but it was available in the lobby. cafe in hotel does not open 'til 10am and keeps odd hours. a bit of a hobby for the girl running it.
Restaurant Tip:
Lots of good eating places near by and cheap beer (a lot less then in 7/11) at the Chinese ones.

we upgraded our windowless room to a bigger room with windows. as previously mentioned, we hope the hotel guests adhere to the no smoking room condition. the staff is helpful.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We like the islands but the rubbish on the beach and leftover building materials are a real put-off.

everything is ok. only that the room is small and walking in the room (yes! really!) can be a problem if you put your suitcase on the ground. the staff are quite helpful, except that they are may engage in some personal businesses like doing make-up and delay their service. the wi-fi is convenient although it is available in the lobby only. the location is right next to night market and some shopping malls and convenient stores nearby, which is good for travellers who expect a very local city experience.
