Very small but affordable rooms

We stayed in DM Hotel for 4 nights because of the distance to Sabah Medical Center (~1 km). Otherwise the hotel is very far from the city center and shopping malls. There are some smaller supermarkets and local restaurants near, so its not that "in the desert". But if you want to travel around you always have to order a taxi (1 way to the city is 20 ringgits).
The service was nice and we had clean towels + coffee and tea every morning in the room. DM Hotel dosnt have its own restaurant so you have to get food outside. You can buy some drinks from the lobby though (juice, soda etc).
The rooms are really small (~11 sqm)!
Restaurant Tip:
They have a pub next door.

Bad location but nice rooms

we stayed in dm hotel for 4 nights. the rooms are very small (~11 sqm) and you basically have only the bed and cupboard beside you. we liked the 32 in lcd tv, which kept our kid entertained in the evening.
also liked, that there are some local supermarkets and restaurants in walking distance.
all in all its a cheap and nice place to stay for a couple of days. if you prefer to go to sightseeing, look for a better location. there are no taxis around, so you always have to call one, which is more expensive.
the hotel dosnt have any restaurant, so kettle and nearby food courts are your only option.
