The hotel is still very new as official opening is 12 Nov 09. Shopping centre is just next to it, thus convenient to find food or any necessity. Although it is quite a distance away from the main city, the shopping centre provides a free shuttle service every hr daily. More suitable for couples to stay.

Very convenient to shop.
A lot of nice restaurants in the mall so food is not a problem. Hotel is quite new with nice interior decor and new furniture. However, room is quite small. And also it is quite a distant away from the city centre that is around 25mins by cab. Nonetheless, the friendly staff is always around to help. Good job..:):):)

Clean spacious room, comfortable beds, courteous and friendly staff. Ok for couples or honeymooners. The bathroom is glass-walled. The curtain does not completely cover the bathing space. Not suitable if staying the night with friends or older offsprings. I love the modern look and cozy feel of the room. Flat tv, cozy bed and pillows, the toiletries supplies too are pleasing. I am very happy with the housekeeping staff, they are very helpful and smiley.
Shopping Tip : Hotel is housed within 1 Borneo shopping mall. No need to catch the taxi to shop elsewhere. Nice shopping outlets available - Big apple Doughnuts, Hush Puppies, Toys-R-us, Parkson, etc.

Nice room , modern , next to shopping mall Wifi only at lobby hotel
We arrive at hotel on saturday midnite. This hotel is netx to shopping mall, and many cafe, pub.Because on the weekend very difficult to find parking lot. If we want park our car at mall we must pay. Hotel parking lot not many .i thing only around 10 parking lot. I hope in the future have more parking lot or hotel guest park at shopping mall no need to pay.. I'm very happy to stay this hotel. Hotel room is very clean, modern style, next to shopping mall, easy to find food , free wifi
Price for this hotel also not bad and have breakfast..
If i come again to kinabalu I will stay this hotel again and will recommend to our friends

If need to change money - at shopping mall have money changer ..rate i quite good compare change at bank..( next to novotel )

Strategically located in 1Borneo Hypermall Lack in maintenance as some of the facilities at the room already start to damage even the hotel still new - less than 2 years I stay here for 2 nights with my families. I booked 1 standard room. When I check-in the room allocate for me is on level 11 but unfortunately other guests still inside the room. The room attendance act fast to check with the front office and upgrade us to the deluxe room and check-in within 10 mins. We enjoy the breakfast - a lot of choice, delicious and the coffee house also very spacious. The hotel link to the 1Borneo hypermall within should walking distance. I will recoomend this hotel if you aim to shop at 1Borneo as there is no other attractions nearby - within walking distance.
Shopping Tip : Connected to the biggest shopping mall in Sabah & Sarawak.

I like the lobby and the privelege lounge very much..Furthermore with the easy accessibility to the shopping centre and it is very convienient for us. However, it is the parking problem, The hotel may provide redeemable parking ticket. It was a really nice stay and plan to book this hotel for the next stay. Wanna try the grand deluxe. It was quite a lovely lobby and a nice privelege lounge. The staffs are very friendly and welcoming.It is very recommended that you try this hotel and upgrade your room to club superior in which you can have all the privileges including an evening tea..I love that!

In the largest and nicest shopping mall in KK
Very nice, clean and modern rooms
Good breakfast Out of town away from everything but the mall Staying in the basic room was fine. The room was not big, but was comfortable, very clean and with a very nice bed. The bathroom was better than most and the breakfast buffet was good - better than average.

Expensive ($40RM) taxi fare to airport I was quite pleased with this hotel. The basic room was very nice and clean with a modern and stylish look. My only complaint was that the internet (provided free) rarely worked in the room.
The breakfast was also very nice and served in a nice dining room. Far better than the usual fare and with enough non-Asian choices for those who don't want noodles for breakfast.

Reasonable Hotel Room Rate.
A Hypermall - 'One Borneo' is nearby with many Shops and Restaurants.
Free Shuttle Bus from Hotel to Downtown.
The Hotel Staff is helpful and polite.
Not much selection on TV Channel.
'Grand Borneo' is a good choice if you stay in KK for few days ~ Worth to stay ~
Restaurant Tip : Many restaurants inside the hypermall, delicious with very reasonable price.

Convenient with the shopping mall just downstair Not all necessities are provided, eg toothbrush, shower cap The room is very new and modern, with good view of the mountain and sunrise. The shopping mall is just beside the hotel, so it is extremely convenient for shopping and food. Free shuttle bus is provided to airport and warisan, so more convenience and shopping. Breakfast spread is very normal, which you will only go one round and no more. I was hoping for freshly squeeze fruit/vegetable juice but there wasn't any.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Did not really feel inconvenience about the location. It was bad if we want to return to the hotel in the afternoon because it was very hot waiting at the station in the downtown, no shelter.
I also appreciated their airport shuttle bus. Be sure you won't miss the bus because there is no sign there. You have to watch out for their "green" bus.

Although the room which was given to us was slightly small and without any bathtub, the bed was so comfy, and the pillows too! We have requested for a long bath in our room but unfortunately, it was not granted. Nevermind, the room was clean, bedsheets/pillows and bath towels were clean and most of all, the beds were so comfortable that my daughter and I had a great night's sleep! Grand Borneo Hotel was formerly known as Mecure Hotel because we were there last year. The reason that I have chosen to stay in Grand Borneo was due to its location to One Borneo Mall, and its free shuttle service to KK town! Besides that, the price in Agoda was reasonable, with Bft. Will stay here in future. We loved the service of the duty manager in your restaurant,forgot his name. Keep it up!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Use the One Borneo Free Shuttle Service to get to KK town! To and fro, it help you to save on the transportation costs. Just remember to check with the driver the time schedules.

cheap and clean. free shuttle bus. Price is reasonable. Room is clean but small. Swimming pool is covered, no sunshine, quite cold. It takes at least 30 min to get to the downtown. If you have plenty of time, it will suit you. For us, it is okay. Also the bowling is very cheap, only RM9 for 4 games, Mon-Fri, 1000-1400. There are many food choices in the mall with reasonable price.

Easy access to 1Borneo Hypermall without having to walk out from the mall. The mall has almost everything you need ie. restaurants/fast food chains, cinema, supermarket and various shops. It would be good if there are other eating places for local food/seafood around hypermall area. We had asked for non-smoking rooms, but one of the rooms smelled smoke. Room interior was new and clean, but a bit too narrow. Breakfast was good with quite a wide spread of international and local food. Went for a late night movie too as it was so convenient and easy access back to hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You may take complimentary shuttles which run on hourly basis to KK town and airport from the mall (provides by 1Borneo Management to public), but priority is given to hotel guests.
