Halfway through our stay we were asked if we minded changing rooms so that a multiple room booking could stay in adjacent rooms. As we were out diving the whole of the following day we agreed to leave our key so the staff could move our belongings into the new room while we were out. the hotel has the following good points :
* Rooms are clean and well decorated.
* Staff had been friendly and accommodating, at least until they lost (or possibly stole) our belongings.
Bad Points :
* Poor location - nothing of interest within reasonable walking distance.
* Food is passable but not great.

the rooms and the restaurant are lovely decorated. it is quiet and clean. staff performance is okay.
apart from a supermarket nothing is really within walking distance around this place. the hotel is located at a busy road. to get to the city you have walkt right along the road as there are no sidewalks for pedestrations and cross four lanes to get to the bus station. depending on the time of the day in can take a couple of minutes until this mission is accomplished. during the time between lunch and dinner the restaurant is closed, that means the entrance to the rooms is shut as well. luckily in our case someone was around to open it up for us.
the featured satellite tv in each room provides one channel. this program gets chosen by someone else in the house. you can see the zapping through the channels without using the remote at all.
being a german i was really excited to get to eat some dishes that i know from home in malaysia. the food at the restaurant is overpriced, fatty, partly tasteless and nearly every dish sits on top of a big splash of some kind of a buttery sauce. i did not expect truly authentic german cuisine, but what you get on the plates is just a poor copy of the dishes that are supposed to be served according to the menu.
