We had a great holiday in Borneo! Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu was in a great location, very easy access to everywhere. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We could also book all the tours from the hotel. Hotel pool area was very nice, with great view to South China sea! Hotel gym was pretty good as well. We can recommend this hotel if you plan to go to Kota Kinabalu!
Bathroom, pool area, service, breakfast, location.
No dark bread at the breakfast, fitted carpet.

Having read previous reviews I was hopeful of a good experience and it duly happened. Easy check in, spacious, clean, comfortable rooms with flatscreen tv/DVD. Lovely setting for pool. Free Buffet breakfast was open 6.30-10am and was a real feast. Great location for local bars/resturants on waterfront. I would definitely recommend to others, and would likely choose this hotel next time. You can stay for less in Kinabalu, but I don't think you will beat the value.
Spacious, clean, comfortable rooms. Great location for bars/restuarants on waterfront. Nice pool overlooking islands. Fantastic Buffet breakfast.
No Obvious cons to report.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you have a few hours to use at the end of different Borneo trip, get out to one of the islands off the shoreline of Kinabalu using the jetty about 500 metres to the right of the hotel. For 17MR you can choose from 3 different islands to go via speedboat for 15minute and then go snorkelling or just chilling away from the noise and chaos of the city.

Located city center and easy access to local markets(ex. Philippino Market, night market) and new shopping malls(ex. Warisan). Room was clean and wide, and has both a shower booth and a bathtub. Concierge is kind, friendly and gave us practical tips. Hotel arranged local tours were more reasonable than outside travel agencies'. However sometimes we had to take a cold shower at night, the hotel was worth visiting again.

My family really enjoyed our stay at this cozy hotel for its good location and room facilities.
We appreciate the staff service because they are very friendly especially the service in the dining areas. We would like to stay there again.
The hotel is situated in the centre of the city and easily accessible. You can go to anywhere of the city easily. You can go to any good restaurants in the city easily. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, there's a wide variety of food available especially the tropical fruits. Yummy. The service is very good, staff is friendly and helpful.
It's noisy until midnight we don't know why. Is it because of the pup/night club on the top or ground floor?
- Restaurant Tip : The seafood in Kota Kinabalu is great, don't miss it. We've tried one near the hotel, it's an open area with many stalls. You may check the map if you want to try!
Not so bad of a hotel

Don't expect the 5 star service but it's worth it if you want to have a convenient location in town (book the room of common category.)
