The bathroom is nice..a clear separation part for you to shower or just soakin it a hot bubble bath tub. The sea view is great.... you get to see the daily activities of the locals in the morning market, the sun set view, the night market and many more...

Everything is above our expectation thus no weaknesses of the hotel noted.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone because this hotel is a superb place for a perfect getaway... It is very convenient to get to places from the hotel in view that it is situated in the center of all the places of attraction such as the Warisan Square and a few other shopping complexes, which caters well to all the shopping lovers... seafood restaurants which situated just a few blocks away behind the hotel, a shop that sells reasonable frozen seafood as souvenir, and a night market just right in front, accross the hotel.

Top Notch Hotel ..best of the lot !! Guest Rating: 9.3

The staff of this hotel are super .. they serve a great breakfast...the rooms are huge ..and the location to the happenings id right on

I really could not fond any ,except be aware before you are assigned a room that the rooms at the back of the hotel are very noisy until the night club closes ..ask for a room at the front of the hotel but away from the ballroom if it is booked

I booked the hotel months with the advice to ask for a room away from the night club and the active ballroom .The hotel overlooks the China Sea ..ask for a room with a sea view . I arrived a weekend with the intent of going to the Kota Bulud Sunday market to see the ethnic groups ..however the tribes only show up once oin a blue moon so my drive there was for nothing . The hotels located on the waterfront so the weekend market there is the place to be if yoiu want to buy and sample the nmany tropical fruits and seafood Taxis are really inexpensive ..you can hire a driver and car for 10USD per hour for out of town trips ..ask for Maxwell for help with this The staff here are great and are always smiling and joking with you . Outside the hotel if you turn left you will find a huge mall on the left of the traffic lights beside the taxi stand with a massive food court(Mac and KFC are here but try the local food ) and supermarket on the ground floor ..there is a Guardian drug store here as well .etc . I would not stay at any other hotel as it has everything that you look for in a hotel

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Know what you want to do before you arrive as the tours take a full day and some leave early ..use google ..plan ahead ..if you are a solo traveller there are min restrictions ..one person will not be served ..you will have to hire a taxi .

Our room here was a Superior Room category and fabulous inside, so nice we took photos. Wood finish contrasted nicely with the wall colour, staff and service 99% "on the ball", DVD player, bed made-up every morning very good but not as good as the Bayview in Langkawi. (That bed was made up 100% every morning!), clean, live band in one of the bars (2 women and 2 guys) very good local band, location

Bathroom a little dated over the bath. Our check-in person was not good at interfacing with us at all. She was extremely efficient at her job but a smile and a little slower at the desk would have been much better - maybe she should have been in an accounting practice? We arrived in late in the evening on an Air Asia flight say around midnight and were looking for a friendly face.

Wow, For the price we thought this was a standout hotel. The Superior Room was great. Tastefully finished, the bathroom was very big with bath, separate large shower with clear glass screen. Live local band added to the enjoyment. The dining/breakfast room was excellent with a huge Asian/ Western buffet! We aLso had a good view of the water.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Snorkelling at Sapi Island from Jesselton Point. Very easy and cheap to get to. Snorkelling is a must do activity from KK.

Friendly staff, clean

Nothing

What can I say! We stayed here three times on our trip to KK - we could not leave! The staff were exceptionally friendly and recommended places to eat and go. This was the nicest place we stayed on our holiday - the best place in KK. Will definately recommend this place to family and friends and will be back in the future.

Restaurant Tip : Eat at the local markets across the road - the fish is so fresh and tastes amazing!

Friendly, helpful staff. Good sized rooms, well maintained. Awesome view (seaview room)

Even though there are non-smoking floors they back onto smoking floors - our room smelt of smoke from the above floor on one night.

What can I say about Le Meridien - it is so nice, staff are really helpful and friendly and will reccommend things to do in the area. The cocktails from the bar are really good to. If you can book with breakfast as there is a huge buffet. We stayed for 2 nights and then returned for another two. I would definately stay again and reccomend to friends.

Restaurant Tip : The local food markets are across the road - they look really ddauntnig but the fresh fish is amazing. If you are wanting to experience something local eat here!

Lives up to its name - even in Kota Kinabalu.

Breakfast abit too costly.

Stayed there two nites from 1 to 3 Nov 2009. The minute my kids, my sister and I opened the door to our bedroom - we were thrilled with the spaciousness of the room, the comfortable and well-provided for within the room. Such luxury! Gym and swimming pool - wonderful ! the nice surprise was towards the evening, we were served with some fruits (complimentary from the hotel). Washrooms in the lobby area - well-maintained (wonder if it is cleaned each time a guest uses it!) Staff always friendly, smiling and approachable. We will stay in Le Meridien on our next visit and if ever there's a Le Meridien in our itinerary, we'll stay there.

Restaurant Tip : You can have lots of choices when it comes to food cos nearby the hotel - plenty of eateries. Remember to visit the seafood paradise in SEDCO - just a 10-15 mins from hotel. Mega Laundry availabe at MYR3 per pc.Collect same day.

Quite luxurious for a reasonable price. Great breakfast with variations each day. Big rooms, very comfortable. Nice pool. Great central location.

Noisy on one side of the hotel due to Rumba night club on the ground floor. Pricey drinks at the pool - even with promotions.

Excellent stay at the Kota Kinabalu Meridian. Really enjoyed our 3 nights there. Felt like we were staying somewhere nice and meant we could relax. The pool was enjoyable and usually very quiet. The breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. Only complaint was the very noisy room when we arrived. We were on the 5th floor up but on the same side of the hotel as the night club downstairs and the music was far too loud in the room - we could hear the words of the music not just the 'thump thump'. Phoned to get moved (11.30pm) and we were moved to a lovely sea view room down one floor within 30 minutes which was quiet! Pleased with the way it was dealt with. We didn't have to go to the airport till mid afternoon so checked out and then went to the pool which was no problem. All in all a very enjoyable stay and we hope to go back.

Shopping Tip : Worth taking a trip out to 1Borneo shopping mall. You can get a free bus from just round the corner from the Meridian.

- Very central location - Spacious room - Breakfast with many varieties - Nice pool

- Condition of the nearby area is not good, i.e. dirty and smelly - Leakage of water from shower cubicle

Le Meridien is quite a nice hotel. It is a city hotel situated in a truly convenient and central location with the Handcrafts Market and Food Market opposit. Due to this reason, it also makes the condition of the nearby condition not good enough. The hotel itself is huge with more than 300 rooms; rooms are clean and spacious. Facilities (swimming pool, gym, steam/sauna room, jacuzzi) are OK in the sense that it is a city hotel. Though the swimming pool is not a huge one but it's adequate enough for swimming and relaxing. This hotel is recommended.

Great Rooms, huge, great views over water front, excellent breakfast buffet, excellent location

If oyu like super hot showers, hot water could do with being cranked up. Apart from that, nothing

I booked through Agoda. Tis included a huge buffet breakfast, free internet access and a huge room. If you want a place to hide out and do some work, then be able to get out at night. I can highly recommend this hotel. It is located very close to Centrepoint Shopping Mall, money changers are in side, close to the Waterfront Boardwalk, lots of restaurants and live bands, B.E.D. Disco, And the wet and dry markets are right across the road. Beers on the Boardwalk, especially at the Aussie Pub, were RMB 11.00 including San Mig. Lots of food choices. Hotel service was fantastic, everything worked. I will be back.

Nightlife Tip : Check out the Waterfront Boardwalk right across the road. LOTS to do and GREAT Food.

Location and its a HUGE room!

Bathroom is a bit old already. needs upgrade!

Located in the center of town, you can access the beautiful sea easily, At night, just walk across the street and you will get the waterfront restaurants and bars! Staff are friendly and helpful! However taxi drivers in KK are awful, unfriendly and not interested in welcoming visitors! But then its not part of the hotel facility.

Shopping Tip : The massage place across the road offers excellent foot reflexology! Also pedicure.

Good location, pleasant services, clean and tidy room, big room

internet is a bit slow, especially at night time

Le Meridien is located in the city centre which is proximity to handicraft market, KK esplanade, Warisan Square, Centre Point. The room is big, clean and tidy. I stayed for 2 nights on 27-29 Oct 2009 and booked a superior room with reasonable price which incl. bfast and free internet, and seaview. Although the swimming pool is not big, the male changing room is equipped with jaccuzzi, sauna (both steam and dry). I will definitely stay again and recommend everybody to stay when travelling Kota Kinabalu.

Restaurant Tip : Within walking distance to Sedco Square (around 7 minutes) for seafood.

Same as the first, location, staff, rooms, everything is nice

Nothing really, hard to adjust aircon so it can get a bit chilly

This was our second stay (4 nights, last one was 3 nights) and we were upgraded from Deluxe room to suite. About 80 sqm, which really was quite pointless but still a nice gesture. Its a really nice hotel and i have a hard time finding anything negative to say. The rooms are really nice, good looking and spaceious, with big bathrooms. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent. The location of the hotel is great, right by the waterfront esplanade and the night market. Big buffet breakfast with both western and asian dishes.

conveniece to everywhere

no

it's good to stay this hotel since it's easy to go anywhere. There is free shuttle bus to the big shopping mall which need to take around 30mins by bus. You can walk to Sunday Market, Nite Market, handfraft market, seafood areas, etc. Good customer service that staffs can help you to book the loacl tour at mid nite for the early morning tour in the next day. Staff would try their best to serve you what ever they can do. And, they can offer what they have by request.

Shopping Tip : things around the hotel is not too expensive.

Facing seafront, walking distant to shopping area and delicious seafood and other food joint.Rooms are huge, clean and comfortable.

Some renovations are needed to spruce up the hotel

Had a wonderful time during our recent self- organised retreat with our dear colleagues at your hotel. The calming seaview was a great bonus to us. Wish we had opted for a longer stay there. Friendly staff at registration counter who are flexible and helpful thus ensuring we had a great holiday. My salute to all of you and sincere appreciation for all your great effort!
