Beautiful lobby and room. Those were very good for the rate. Free shuttle-bus to downtown was available. This resort is composed of Magellan Sutera and Pacific Sutera. Magellan looked much better than Pacific. This resort is so big that true resort manias may not like this kind of generic kind of chain resort hotels.

This is a beautiful hotel with luxurious rooms. Restaurants offer a range of quality food. It's rather expensive but worth it. The buffet breakfast is always hot, varied and tasty. Views and ambiance are great.You have access to a fantastic pool at the Magellan and a variety of pools at the adjoining hotels (boat club at Pacific Sutera).This is a good resort for couples and families.

Beautiful hotel with attractive, comfortable and spacious rooms. Lovely, well maintained pool overlooking the ocean. Great location. 5 mins into town and to the port for visits to the islands.Good buffet breakfast

• Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take trips to the islands from Jessleton Point . A taxi ride costs 10MYR .It's sometimes cheaper to book yourself.

i spent two nights in Sutera during my holiday this time. Everything is good,i was so satisfied. In my opinion, i prefer to choose rooms in Magellan Wings, coz swimming pools are just lied downstairs, harbour to islands not far away from my room as well.

I am so satisfied with the stay in Magellan Sutera - Sutera Harbour Resort Kota Kinabalu with the convenient on-line booking through agoda. It saved time and effort. As this was the first time I made room reservation through internet, I appreciate the agoda staff who solve my problems and give immediate response which lessen my hesitation.

I like the swimming pool on the pacific side so much. It provides a wonderful seaview with excellent facilities.

the dining areas attract so many birds and flies which try to share the food with the guests

• Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : there is a beautiful private jetty with clean water and sea living creatures that you can bring bread to feed them.

This hotel is really huge and therefore we can enjoy different types of food, swimming pool and activities. But because of this, sometimes we feel that the response from staff is not so prompt which may not make your stay at the hotel so comfortable.

From the moment we pulled up receiving welcome drinks, cold towels, and fruit platter in our room we knew we were on holidays! the breakie buffet is unbelivable as well as the themed buffets to the service in the resturants, the spice room was as experence....:-) staff cant do enough to assist you...gym was well equiped, and pools beautiful and clean

Very good stay. I had been this hotel only two nights, but this hotel is comfort, clean and kind. I've researved golf view room, but I can see the ocean at the balcony. The breakfast and food quility was better than that of nexus resort. However, room is small.

The location is very good being close to KK and the shuttle bus that runs frequently is a bonus. The lobby is very large but lacks any real flair and is quite plain. Pools are big clean and very popular.

Rooms and restaurant furniture has seen better days. Some rooms are a long way from reception, especially for the elderly.

This is a very large resort with several good swimming pools and sporting facilities. Some rooms have been updated however ours wasn't and was a bit tired and carpets had several bad stains and the blinds in the room were broken closed. Restaurant gets very busy for breakfast as it is such a large hotel.
