Great food, secluded, quiet, and peaceful

We were there for our honeymoon. We loved the great buffet for breakfast and dinner. Very spacious and clean room. Was a quiet weekend at the time when we stayed there. It was nice for us. Very peaceful coming out of the busy city life. The restaurant manager was very friendly and helpful. The selection of food at the restaurant was massive. Really good spread of very tasty food.
Cons: not much option for places to eat. The korean food at the golf course was nothing great. I have to admit things were pretty costly at the hotel e.g. the food and taxi to go to town costs RM70 each way. My wife was also stung by jellyfish in the sea off the hotel beach after having spent less than 10 minutes in the water. At the restaurant, funnily only coffee or tea is included in the buffet. No skyjuice was served, only mineral water. Room service was pretty slow too. Took them ages to deliver a praying mat and change towels.
All in all, we were "OK" with the stay, but we were extremely happy with the privacy and great food! Honestly, we felt like it was more suitable for retired couples and golfers. Or for group holidays.

Very scenic and memorable hotel

The facilities at this hotel are at par with what you would expect. Main attraction here would be Golf and the beach. Maintenance is done well and it shows in the quality of the room. Staff are friendly and exceptionally helpful. However, I would not stay at this hotel for more than 2 nights as the location is quite far from Kota Kinabalu Town (45 mins) and other activities. Overall, very satisfactory, and I would definitely return for another stay.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel provides shuttle services to and from the centre of Kota Kinabalu town. This is the cheapest way to get to the hotel if you are travelling as a couple.

An ideal place for relaxation

Me and my family (5 adults) were staying in a 2 bedroom spa suite and felt so comfortable with the room. I do enjoy the services provided and the staffs are very friendly. The best highlight of this resort is the calm environment for relaxation, nice beach and breath taking beach view especially during sunset. We had a good time staying at this hotel.

although it is far far away from kota kinabalu city center (30 mins by drive) and no local restaurants outside the resort, there are still quite few in the resort which provide very nice food but with high price ... we tried buffet as dinner that night and were impressed by the food quality, especially the beef and dessert. i feel the beach along this resort is better than the one in yalong bay (sanya china). and as this resort is located in the remote area, not together with others so, while we were walking along the beach, felt so quiet.

Very relaxing hotel near the beach

We were upgraded to a SPA Suite and it was worth it.
Big living room with kitchen and two bathrooms with jacuzzi, hot tub and steam bath! A small balcony with view on the ocean was just perfect.
The main inconvenient was the shuttle to go back to the main hotel (every 30 minutes if you need to go to the restaurant or reception). I think they need to find another solution than this shuttle.
Otherwise the Borneo SPA was amazing! Beautiful place and very relaxing (big recommendation in particular after climbing the Mount Kinabalu)

Try the SPA, a bit expensive but worth it!

Great Beach and Good Environment
The only resort in Sabah to have its own beach

nexus resort is a good hotel if you want to have a relaxing holiday. don't think of going to the city centre since it's quite far away from the kk. enjoying your holiday in the resort. you could find all the facilities you need in the resort. it got a long beach which is really nice. enjoy the sun shine ~

Typical Malaysian claimed 5 star hotel

dissapointing for what claimed "some say its heaven on earth". this hotel should not be given 5 star status. the tv reception reception in room is hopeless. when complained the counter immediately acknowledge faulty equipment. the furnishing are not up to standard. i had steak for dinner (most of the things on the menu was unavailable) at the restaurant by the beach and must say that even my 18 year old daughter can cook a better steak. otherwise the resort is ok and i suppose for many visitors would not dream of returning there.
