I spent four days of my honeymoon at this fine hotel. Management learned we were just married and upgraded our room. This hotel has done a great job in educating its staff. From the front desk to the bell hop, you can depend on a welcome smile at all times.
Although beautiful and immaculate the hotel does have a few flaws. Being only a few months old I am certain they will work out the fixes.
Special thanks to Sophie and her assistant manager. They both are from different parts of the world and bring much charm and class to this 4+ star hotel.
Great linens.
Immaculate house keeping.
Welcoming friendly staff.
Over sized rooms.
Adjacent to a brand new mall.

- Restaurant Tip : The hotel adjoins the new 1 Borneo mall. there are countless restaurants to choose from and all very inexpensive and good. We especially liked New York, New York. Best ice cream sundaes I have had in years

A clear hotel and nice to stay at. Good staff and quality hotel.
The location may be a bit far.
An affordable 3 stars hotel with a good distance walk to the ground shopping mall with all facilities that you need. A high-tech room, nice bathroom and clean.
Still new, need some time to check.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : All good staff work in the hotel make all customer happy.

Generally, we liked the look and feel of the hotel. When we stayed at this hotel, Sept '08', it was still very new. The pool had hardly any furniture and the pool was dirty, which was pretty disappointing, considering how nice the interior of the hotel looked. It's also quite a distance from Kota Kinabalu town, so everytime we wanted to go to town, we had to pay an extra RM25 per way by taxi. If you're willing to wait, they do have a complimentary shuttle bus that takes you to town every half hour. The hotel is located next to a big shopping mall, so it's pretty convenient. You can get groceries and shopping done there. The mall doesn't close till 10pm. The staff at the hotel are generally friendly and helpful, although we wished the hotel would have taken the initiative to give us adjoining rooms when we had placed a booking for 2 rooms.
We were impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms, and it was very affordable for budget travellers.
The pool had a lot of construction still ongoing, so whenever my girlfriends and I were at the pool, we constantly felt watched. The pool was freezing despite the warm weather and the pool was also dirty with concrete debris, which made it very uncomfortable to sit on the step in the pool.
- Nightlife Tip : The sunset is lovely if you go to Kota Kinabalu town. You can enjoy it as you sit on the verandah at any of the restaurants there, though the sun sets pretty early, so it's good to get there earlier.
