There are much better places to stay in Kota Kinabalu. The rooms are ice cold and you can hardly regulate the air con. Also the lobby where you eat breakfast is so cold you'd need a jacket. The staff is unprofessional and lazy. But the most strange thing is there is no hot water in the morning. After 1 day I moved out from this place. Better you go to Jesselton Hotel. Thats a lovely place.

I have seen a room at the Hyatt hotel and I would prefer to pay a bit more to have a good room with a large and new bathroom (bath and shower).

It is easy to book day and multi-day tours to see the whole island.

When booking, ask for sea-facing room which makes a whole lot of difference.

Buffet breakfast was just perfect - wide array of choices.

good price, seafood restaurant just below the Hotel.
Although it is in the center of the city, a bit of walking is needed to get around shopping centres.
